Neverness to Everness is rolling out version 1.3, titled “Rising from the Moonlit Fog,” and it lands on August 19, 2026 after scheduled maintenance. The update adds two playable S-Class characters, a new story chapter that closes out the Scarlet Letter arc, a large new district, and a stack of summer events built around jet skis and beach volleyball.
Quick answer: NTE 1.3 goes live on August 19, 2026 once maintenance ends. Phase 1 runs from August 19 to September 9 at 05:59 (UTC+8), and Phase 2 runs from September 9 to September 30 at 05:59 (UTC+8).

NTE 1.3 release date and phase schedule
The status is confirmed. Version 1.3 launches on August 19, 2026 after maintenance, following the end of version 1.2. Each of the two phases lasts 21 days, and the banner windows track those phases exactly.
| Phase | Window (UTC+8) | Featured characters |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | August 19 (after update) – September 9, 05:59 | Zankou (Alluring Shadows), Nanally (Ichi Daime returns) |
| Phase 2 | September 9 (after update) – September 30, 05:59 | Linko (Surfing All Channels), Hotori (Misty Tipsy Style returns) |
You will know the update has arrived when the client prompts a download after maintenance and the new “Rising from the Moonlit Fog” version title appears on the login screen. Logging in after the patch goes live also grants a total of 10 Solid Dice.
Zankou and Linko: the two new characters
Both new characters are limited-time S-Class units, and they headline separate phases. Zankou leads Phase 1, and Linko follows in Phase 2.

Zankou is an Incantation-attribute main DPS who swaps between Reality and Illusion states to stack heavy damage and damage-over-time. Her Esper ability is The Eye of Delusion, and she can turn invisible in the open world, which is useful for avoiding detection in Pink Paws Heist. Pulling her from the Alluring Shadows board unlocks her “Red Nightshade” outfit at no extra cost, the same look she wears during the story.
Linko is an Anima-attribute character who fights alongside her companion Xiaozhen using Synced Strikes, follow-up attacks whose damage type matches whoever launches them. Out in the city, she uses Xiaozhen’s ghost arms to slingshot across the map, a faster option than the glider.
| Character | Attribute | Signature Arc | Rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zankou | Incantation | Ravenous Blade (Solid) | S-Rank |
| Linko | Anima / Plasma | Voice of the Voyager (Plasma) | S-Rank |
Banners and Arc Research Programs
Alongside the two new limited banners, version 1.3 brings back two earlier ones. Zankou runs with a Nanally rerun in Phase 1, and Linko runs with a Hotori rerun in Phase 2. The Arc Shop stocks each character’s signature weapon during their phase, and pull counts plus pity progress are shared across the Special Issues Arc Research Programs.
| Banner | Phase | Featured Arc |
|---|---|---|
| Alluring Shadows (Zankou) | Phase 1 | Spellbound Special |
| The Ichi Daime (Nanally) | Phase 1 | Tiger Special |
| Surfing All Channels (Linko) | Phase 2 | Soundscape Special |
| Misty Tipsy Style (Hotori) | Phase 2 | Bright Moon Special |
Rolling on Alluring Shadows also builds Skin Perks progress. You earn the Scarlet Sash glider at 50 rolls, the Sandy Mirage livery at 120 rolls, and Zankou’s Autumn Vignette skin at 200 rolls. Roll counts are shared across limited boards running at the same time, but Skin Perks progress is tracked separately per board.
New story chapter and locations
The story picks up from where version 1.1 left off. Chapter 6, “Fogden Game,” is the conclusion to the Scarlet Letter arc, with Eibon and the ETD facing off against the villain. Scarlet Letter’s anomalies tie into the past, present, and future, and the new Fogden domain becomes its hunting ground, where you clear wave after wave of enemies. A new character named Nitsa is also introduced in the 1.3 story.

The city grows too. Duskmoor is a large new district with oracle stones, new fishing grounds, and a full set of racing challenges across villages, fields, and mountain roads, plus loop rally circuits.
Summer events, vehicles, and property
The update leans hard into a summer theme. Beach volleyball arrives as a PvE mode where you play 2v2 with one AI partner, first to 7 points with a 2-point lead. A Weekly Match Tournament runs group stage into knockouts, and your final placement sets your Fons payout for the week.

Water racing opens on new jet ski routes that unlock over time, each with three difficulties. Several limited-time events run through the version window.
| Event | Period (UTC+8) |
|---|---|
| Water Racing | August 19 (after update) – September 30, 05:59 |
| Shipwreck Salvage | August 28, 10:00 – September 30, 05:59 |
| Runaway Echoes | September 9 (after update) – September 30, 05:59 |
| Breezy Tour (bike along) | September 17, 10:00 – September 30, 05:59 |
Runaway Echoes is an ARPG-style survival mode where you cut down hordes, collect EXP orbs, and pick upgrade cards to last as long as possible. Other events in the lineup include Volley Star, Bagel Supplies, Surf Breaker, Hunter’s Crucible, Stamina Recharge, Gold Clash, Pixel Surge, and Fons Rush. The 999 Nights mode also gains two new modes, a Standard Mode with 99 floors and an Infinite Mode with no ceiling.
Three new vehicles and a house join the mix. The Tide is a jet ski pulled from Mystery Boxes, Sirocco is a dune buggy bought with Fons, and Yesteryear is a two-person bicycle that arrives in Phase 2. Stillmeadow House is a detached single home in the Miguel District, purchasable with Fons.

A batch of summer outfits also drops across the roster, including Searing Lavender for Zankou, Saltwater Taffy for Mint, Sunny Surf for Nanally, Cloudless Summer for the Appraiser (Esper Zero), and Chartered Waves for Chaos, split between the Mall and Mystery Boxes.
Quality-of-life and gameplay changes
Version 1.3 folds in several system updates. Building Hethereau is a new hobby where daily construction jobs pay out rewards, and the wardrobe gains a random outfit option that swaps a character’s look on each login or scene change while they are in your active lineup.
- Outfits can now be randomized per character.
- Improved lighting and shadow effects.
- Going! Going! Gone! and Shadow and Seek become permanent modes.
- Nanally’s outfit gains an accessory toggle.
- You can toggle and hide the UI.
- Bagel adds a Furniture & Decor category for property blueprints and ideas.
Version 1.3 livestream codes and rewards
Three redemption codes were shared ahead of the update, each granting 100 Annulith plus dye, Hunter Guides, and Beetle Coins. They stay active until August 10, 2026, expiring at 23:59 (UTC+8), so redeem them before that cutoff. You will know redemption worked when the reward mail lands in your in-game inbox.
