PAINT OR DIE Next Update: Schedule, Start Times & Next Countdown

A fresh update drops in PAINT OR DIE on a steady schedule, and each release pulls the painting game’s regulars back in to see what changed. The experience has racked up about 180,000,000 in total visits and about 490,000, and it usually has about 820 painting at any given moment — enough of a crowd that a new patch fills servers within hours of going live.

New updates aren’t scheduled completely at random — the most recent one landed late on a Sunday night in US Eastern time. Below is when the next one is due and exactly when that release time hits across the major regions of the world, so nobody has to do the timezone math themselves.

How often new updates land

PAINT OR DIE ships updates to be announced, and so far it has landed at 11:00 PM ET. That single launch time is late evening for North America but early morning or midday elsewhere, which is exactly why it helps to know where it falls for you. Here is how Sunday 11:00 PM ET translates across the major regions:

These times shift by an hour when a region moves on or off daylight saving, but the ET anchor stays put. The next update is expected around the coming cycle, with the date and countdown on the card above. When the developer hasn’t posted the exact date yet, that estimate comes from the game’s usual rhythm, and we confirm it once the next drop is announced.

What a PAINT OR DIE update usually brings

Every drop is different, but updates here tend to expand the core painting-and-survival loop rather than just tweak numbers. Recent ones give a sense of the range:

• The Mutation Update is the one live right now.
• The earlier Clone & Ranked Update was one of the game’s previous releases.
• Seasonal drops like the two-part Summer Event have run alongside the regular updates.

Expect each new update to bring some mix of fresh content, balance changes, and fixes, with the headline feature called out in its title. The current update’s specifics are on the card above.

Tips for catching the next update

• Sunday 11:00 PM ET is the anchor — North American players can hop in before bed, European players may prefer Monday morning, and Asia-Pacific players can catch it around midday.
• Set a reminder for whichever window suits you; servers are busiest in the first few hours after a drop.
• Miss it? Nothing is lost — the new content stays in the game, and the next update comes around on the following cycle.

How updates fit PAINT OR DIE’s event calendar

Updates are the backbone of PAINT OR DIE’s schedule, with limited-time events filling the gaps between them. The game has run weekend boosts such as 2x Coins Weekend and multi-part seasonal events like the Summer Event alongside its patches. The Mutation Update is the one live at the moment, and the next scheduled drop follows the same Sunday-night slot.
