Neutral-type Pals in Palworld 1.0 do double duty. Early on they fill your base thanks to broad work suitability, and later they turn into some of the most reliable combat and support options in the game. A big reason is the Holy Burst active skill, one of the strongest attacks available, which many Neutral Pals can learn.
Quick answer: Hartalis and Paladius are the top Neutral combat picks, Solenne, Selyne, and Lapure are the best party and base support, and Gorirat is the highest single-target damage spike once its partner skill is maxed.
| Pal | Typing | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Hartalis | Neutral | Raid Boss (Huge Common Egg reward) |
| Paladius | Neutral | Arena near Farthest Flats (desert) |
| Selyne | Neutral/Dark | Gilded City Ruins, World Tree area |
| Solenne | Neutral/Dark | Gorge near Lacrymal Shoal, World Tree |
| Lapure | Neutral | Level 70-75 zone on the Sky Island |
| Sibelyx Primo | Neutral | Southern World Tree region |
| Gorirat | Neutral | Farmed across the Verdant Stream |
Neutral Pals built for combat
If you want a Neutral Pal that carries fights, these three deliver the highest ceiling. Two of them are hard to obtain, but the payoff is significant.

Hartalis
Hartalis is the standout Neutral Pal in 1.0, but it sits behind the Raid Boss system. You summon and defeat the Hartalis raid, then a Huge Common Egg lands in your inventory that hatches one. Its partner skill lets you ride it after crafting the saddle, and while mounted it projects a barrier that negates all incoming attacks. Its passive skill, Savior, raises both Grass-type and Neutral-type attack damage by 30%.
Hartalis also comes with Level 7 Gathering and Level 7 Lumbering, so it stays useful at your base. Its active kit includes Holy Burst, Radiant Barrage, and three exclusive skills, Divine Wing, Sacred Rain, and Purifying Light.
Paladius
Paladius is a late-game catch from the arena near the Farthest Flats fast travel point in the desert. The encounter is tough because you fight two legendary Pals at once. Its partner skill, Holy Knight of the Firmament, calls Necromus to your side when you use Spear Thrust, provided Necromus is in your party.
Two passives make Paladius a breeding target. Legend raises its Attack, Defense, and Movement Speed by 20%, and Celestial Emperor adds 30% Neutral attack damage. It carries Level 6 Lumbering and Level 6 Mining for base work, and it learns Holy Burst alongside strong Ice options like Absolute Frost and Blizzard Spike.
Gorirat
Gorirat is the easiest of the three to obtain, since it can be farmed across the Verdant Stream. Its partner skill, Full-Power Gorilla Mode, temporarily boosts its own attack by 75% to 300% depending on the skill level, turning it into a burst attacker. Its passive, Hooligan, trades 10% work speed for +15% attack. Work suitability is modest at Level 2 Handiwork, Level 3 Lumbering, and Level 3 Transporting, and it also learns Holy Burst along with Ground Pound.
Neutral Pals for party buffs and base work
These Pals earn their spot by boosting the rest of your team or filling high-level base jobs. Several are strong enough to carry a party slot just for the passive effect.

Solenne
Solenne spawns near the gorge by the Lacrymal Shoal fast travel point in the World Tree. Its value comes mostly from keeping it in your party. The partner skill Untainted Maiden raises your attack by 30% to 80%, as long as every Pal in your party is a different species. Solenne also has the highest Handiwork in the game at Level 8, plus Level 4 Gathering and Level 2 Transporting, so it doubles as a top base worker. It learns Holy Burst and the exclusive Dark Whisp.
Selyne
Selyne is a Neutral/Dark Pal found in the Gilded City Ruins within the World Tree area. Its partner skill, Celestial Darkness, boosts its own Neutral and Dark attacks by 15% to 30% while you ride it. On the base side it brings Level 7 Handiwork, Level 6 Medicine Production, and Level 3 Transporting, which makes it an excellent late-game worker. Its skills include Holy Burst and three exclusives, Seigetsu Blade, Moonlight Beam, and Seigetsu Flash.
Lapure
Lapure lives in a Level 70-75 region of the Sky Island. The area is less hostile than the rest of the island, but watch for the purple vortexes, which can pull you into the Jetragon boss fight. Its partner skill, Long-Sleeved Hurray, cuts the partner skill cooldown of every other Pal in your party by 10% to 50%, making it a strong enabler for cooldown-heavy teams. It offers Level 6 Handiwork and Level 5 Gathering, and its kit includes Holy Burst and Hydro Slicer.

Sibelyx Primo
Sibelyx Primo is found in the southern section of the World Tree region. Its partner skill, Gilded Shroud, raises the Defense of all Neutral Pals in your party by 15% to 30%, so it slots into any Neutral-heavy team. It also shines on a Ranch, producing High Quality Cloth over time, and it holds Level 3 Medicine Production and Level 4 Farming. Holy Burst and Diamond Rain round out its offensive options.
Other Neutral Pals worth carrying
A few Neutral Pals earn a party slot purely for quality-of-life effects rather than raw stats. Keep them on hand for capturing, farming, and hauling loot.
| Pal | Location | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Yakumo | Sakurajima | Raises the chance (15% to 30%) of finding wild Pals with passives like its own |
| Mimog | Rarely across the Palpagos Islands | Opens any treasure chest without a key while in the party |
| Grintale | Southern marshes of Sakurajima | 50% to 75% chance of an extra Pal Egg when picking one up in the wild |
| Lunaris | No Man’s Trail, PAL Genetic Research Unit ruins, and nearby areas | Homes Pal Spheres onto targets and raises carrying capacity by 300 to 600 |

Between Hartalis and Paladius for combat, Solenne and Selyne for base work, and the utility group for everyday convenience, Neutral Pals cover almost every role you need in the late game. The main hurdle is access, since the best of them are locked behind raids, dual-boss arenas, or high-level Sky Island zones, so gear up and bring plenty of Pal Spheres before you go hunting.
