Palworld: How a Xenolord Raid Army Clears Every Raid Boss

The Level 80 Xenolord build, per-boss active skill swaps, and the support Pals that break each shield phase.

The Level 80 Xenolord build, per-boss active skill swaps, and the support Pals that break each shield phase.

A single stack of Level 80 Xenolords can carry every raid encounter in Palworld, from the Ultra-tier dragons to the Terraria crossover fights. The trick is not one perfect skill set. It is swapping the Xenolord’s active skills for each boss and pairing them with a few support Pals that shut down shield phases and teleports.

Quick answer: Build Level 80 Xenolords around Cosmic Meteor, keep Serenity, Diamond Body, Demon God, and Immortality as passives, then rotate the two remaining active skills per boss and bring element-swap Pals (Solimora Lux, Chillet, Pyrin, Boltlane, Bellanoir Libero) to break barriers and apply stuns.

Xenolord raid army build

Every clear starts from the same core stat line. These Xenolords sit at the Level 80 cap and lean on a mix of raw damage and survivability passives so they can keep firing while the boss focuses your character.

Anchor active skillCosmic Meteor

Cosmic Meteor stays locked in across almost every fight because it delivers reliable ranged damage that lands even while the boss moves. The other two active slots are where you tune the army to each encounter. Eating Mammorest Curry before a summon adds a buff that helps push through the longer Ultra health bars.

Active skill loadouts for each raid boss

The Xenolord’s damage stays constant, but the skills you slot alongside Cosmic Meteor change based on the boss’s shield mechanic and movement. This is the per-fight setup that beats every raid on the roster.

BossXenolord active skillsSupport Pals
Hartalis (Ultra)Cosmic Meteor, Thunderstorm, Volcanic RainSolimora Lux, Bellanoir Libero
Bellanoir Libero (Ultra)Cosmic Meteor, Omega Laser, Volcanic RainChillet, Pyrin
Blazamut Ryu (Ultra)Cosmic Meteor with a freeze setupChillet, Boltlane
Moon Lord (Master)Astral Ray, Cosmic Meteor, Wind Burst
Zenara & Astralym (Blightstar Calamity)Omega Laser, Sand Twister, Apocalypse

For Hartalis, running Thunderstorm in place of Psycho Gravity gives you cleaner stun control and lets you chain a Thunderstorm-into-Cosmic Meteor sequence. Against Moon Lord, Wind Burst plus Astral Ray keeps steady pressure on the boss while you sidestep its wide AoE attacks. For the Blightstar Calamity duo, Omega Laser is the standout because it still connects through their frequent teleporting.

Support Pals that break shields and apply stuns

The Xenolord army handles raw damage, but the phase transitions belong to a small rotation of support Pals. Each boss with a barrier needs a specific element to crack it, so you swap Pals mid-fight rather than the whole army.

Hartalis (Ultra)

In Phase 1, summon Solimora Lux to pull aggro and stack electric stuns. When Hartalis enters its shield phase, switch to Bellanoir Libero and use Nightmare Bloom to break the barrier. If Pals take heavy damage, rotate in Frostallion Noct P and Croajiro Noct to finish.

Bellanoir Libero (Ultra)

Ride Chillet to apply freeze during the opening phase. Once the fire shield goes up, swap to Pyrin to break through it before returning to your Xenolord damage.

Blazamut Ryu (Ultra)

Use Chillet’s freeze to lock the boss down, then move to Boltlane when the electric shield phase begins to break the barrier.

Note: Moon Lord and the Zenara & Astralym fight do not need a dedicated shield-breaker. There you keep the Xenolord army on its listed skills and focus on avoiding their large AoE and teleport mechanics.

Why Volcanic Rain underperforms

Volcanic Rain hits hard on paper, but it is heavily RNG-dependent in practice. It drops damage in an area, and most raid bosses simply walk out of that zone before the ticks land. The result is inconsistent output that swings with boss positioning.

That is why Cosmic Meteor stays the anchor and why skills like Omega Laser and Astral Ray earn their slots against mobile targets. When you pair Volcanic Rain with Cosmic Meteor, treat the extra damage as a bonus rather than your main plan, and lean on the tracking skills to carry the fight through movement and hitbox issues.

With this setup, one Xenolord army covers the entire raid ladder. You build it once, then only change two active skills and a couple of support Pals per boss to answer whatever shield, stun, or teleport that fight throws at you.
