Palworld: How to Get Every Legendary Merchant

Spawn the six rare vendors that sell top-tier ammo, food, materials, and medicine, then catch one to keep at your base.

Spawn the six rare vendors that sell top-tier ammo, food, materials, and medicine, then catch one to keep at your base.

Legendary merchants are the rarest traders in Palworld, and each one carries the best version of a single category of goods. They do not stand in fixed settlements like ordinary vendors. Instead, they appear at random near your base, which means getting the exact one you want takes a little setup and a lot of patience.

Quick answer: Raise your Palbox to Level 25 or higher, place it in an open area, and wait about five minutes for a wandering merchant to arrive. If it is not the legendary merchant you want, tear the base down and rebuild to reroll. When the right one shows up, hit it with a Pal Sphere to catch it and keep it permanently.

Every legendary merchant and what it sells

There are six legendary merchants, and each one specializes in a single supply line. The value of catching one is that it removes farming for that whole category. A Legendary Ammo Merchant, for example, stocks nearly every round type in the game, from basic arrows all the way to Plasma Cartridges and Overheat Rifle Ammo.

Requirement: Palbox Level 25

None of these vendors will appear until your Palbox reaches Level 25. Below that level, only standard wandering merchants can wander into your base, so leveling the base is the gate you must clear first. Keep raising your base level to improve the pool of merchants that visit.

Note: Legendary merchants only spawn at random. There is no fixed map location to travel to, so the whole method relies on rerolling base visits until the one you want appears.

How to spawn a legendary merchant at your base

Place a Palbox in an open, flat area to establish a base. Open ground gives the merchant a clear spot to walk in and reduces the chance of it getting stuck on terrain.
Wait about five minutes for a wandering merchant to arrive. Legendary merchants roll from the same visiting pool once your Palbox is Level 25 or higher.
Check who showed up. If it is not the legendary merchant you are after, destroy the base and rebuild it to force a new visit. Repeat this reroll loop until the correct vendor appears.
When the merchant you want arrives, throw a Pal Sphere at it to capture it, the same way you catch any human NPC. Once caught, assign it to your original base so it stays there as a permanent shop.

How to know it worked

You have succeeded once the captured legendary merchant is stationed at your base and you can open its shop on demand. From that point you no longer need to reroll, because the vendor stays put and its specialized stock is available whenever you return. That turns a random encounter into a reliable supply of ammo, food, medicine, crafting materials, crops, or cooked meals, depending on which merchant you locked in.

If a legendary merchant is not showing up at all, the most common reason is that your Palbox is still below Level 25. Level the base further, keep the build in open space, and continue the destroy-and-rebuild reroll until the right vendor walks in.
