PC FISH: Taskbar Aquarium carries 30 Steam achievements, and none of them require the paid DLC to earn. Variant mastery across every rarity
Each fish has a set of visual variants, and the mastery trophies ask you to fully complete one fish’s variant list within a rarity. You must own at least one fish of that rarity with 100% of its variants discovered. There is one mastery achievement for every rarity, from Common up to Mythic.

Common fish have the smallest variant pools and the widest availability, so the Common mastery is usually the first of this group to complete. The Mythic mastery is the hardest, since you need enough Mythic pulls to fill out every variant of a single fish.
Trading through the Trade Hub
One achievement, Fish Trader, is tied to the export feature. You unlock it by exporting fish from the Trade Hub 3 times. The game also supports trading through the Steam Community Market, but the achievement itself only tracks the three exports.

Confirming your progress and the DLC question
Each achievement pops with Steam’s standard on-screen notification the instant its condition is met, and it then shows as unlocked on the game’s Steam achievement page. The counter-based trophies (breeding, merging, collecting) advance automatically as you keep the actions going, so the main thing to verify is that your aquarium keeps running in the taskbar.
