Deployables are the utility items in PEAK that turn a blocked cliff or a long fall into a solvable problem. They build ropes, platforms, handholds, and rest points, and there are 14 of them in the game right now. Knowing what each one does and where it spawns saves stamina, time, and the occasional wipe.
Quick answer: Rope and chain tools cover vertical and horizontal gaps, fungi and beanstalks create footing, the Scout Cannon and Anti-Zooka move players through the air, and the Checkpoint Flag and Portable Stove handle respawns and warmth. Most spawn in Luggage; the “anti” variants and the Anti-Zooka come only from Ancient Statues and Ancient Luggage.

Rope and chain climbing tools
These five items get you across distances you cannot climb by hand. Cannons and spools come in a normal downward version and an “anti” version that launches upward, so read the direction before you deploy one on a wall you need to climb.
The Rope Cannon attaches a 7.5-meter rope to a surface up to 48 meters away, dropping the rope downward. The Anti-Rope Cannon works the same way but in reverse, firing a 7.25-meter rope upward to a surface up to 48 meters out. The Rope Spool gives you a 12.5-meter climbable rope that costs less stamina than free climbing, while the Anti-Rope Spool provides a 12.5-meter rope that floats upward for reaching high ground.
The Chain Launcher is the long-range option. It fires a chain that connects your position to a surface up to 80 meters away, which makes it useful for bridging wide horizontal gaps. It is a legendary deployable and can only be used once, so save it for a crossing that matters.

| Deployable | Rope / range | Where to get |
|---|---|---|
| Rope Cannon | 7.5m rope, attaches up to 48m away (downward) | Regular, Big, Explorer’s Luggage |
| Anti-Rope Cannon | 7.25m rope, attaches up to 48m away (upward) | Ancient Statues, Ancient Luggage |
| Rope Spool | 12.5m climbable rope, lower stamina cost | Regular, Big, Explorer’s Luggage |
| Anti-Rope Spool | 12.5m rope that floats upward | Ancient Statues, Ancient Luggage |
| Chain Launcher | Chain up to 80m, single use (legendary) | Regular, Big, Explorer’s Luggage (Shore biome) |

Two deployables help mid-climb rather than replacing the climb entirely. The Piton is placed directly on a cliff while you are still holding on, without letting go. It can only be installed once its preview turns blue, and once it sticks it becomes a permanent handhold where you can rest and recover stamina. Pitons drop from Regular, Big, and Explorer’s Luggage.

The Magic Bean is dropped on the ground, where it grows a 12-meter-tall climbable beanstalk. It is a fairly common find and spawns across the Shore, Tropics, Roots, Alpine, and Mesa regions, making it a reliable way to gain height when nothing else is nearby.
Fungi that build platforms
Three fungi create surfaces where there were none. The Shelf Fungus makes a walkable platform at its point of impact and is the easiest to find, appearing on steep surfaces in nearly every biome. The Cloud Fungus behaves almost identically, creating a walkable platform, and turns up in the reedwoods region of the Roots biome.

The Bounce Fungus is the standout. It creates a bouncy platform that launches you higher than a normal jump and restores a small amount of stamina each bounce. Use it to jump 40 meters in one go and you unlock the Mycoacrobatics Badge. It is easy to find in the Roots biome.

| Fungus | Effect | Where to find |
|---|---|---|
| Shelf Fungus | Walkable platform at impact point | Steep surfaces in almost every biome |
| Cloud Fungus | Walkable platform, similar to Shelf Fungus | Reedwoods region of the Roots biome |
| Bounce Fungus | Bouncy jump platform, restores some stamina | Roots biome |
Launch and anti-gravity tools
The Scout Cannon launches players across great distances, and being fired from it does not harm the player, which makes it one of the faster ways to reposition a group. You will find it inside Regular, Big, and Explorer’s Luggage.

The Anti-Zooka creates a 15-meter-wide anti-gravity bubble that you can fire up to 40 meters away. The launcher works three times before it becomes unusable, so plan the placements around obstacles you actually need to float through. It only comes from Ancient Luggage and Ancient Statues.
Rest, respawn, and warmth
Two deployables keep a run alive rather than moving you upward. The Checkpoint Flag creates a respawn point when placed, giving you somewhere to return to if you fall unconscious. It spawns in Regular, Big, and Explorer’s Luggage.

The Portable Stove lets you cook items and removes 5 cold per second while you stand within 3.2 meters of it, which makes it valuable in colder biomes. It is a legendary item and is found in Regular and Big Luggage outside the Shore region, specifically across the Roots, Tropics, Alpine, Mesa, Caldera, and The Kiln areas.
Note: once the Portable Stove is placed, treat it as a fixed base for warmth and cooking rather than something you carry from spot to spot.
| Deployable | Effect | Where to get |
|---|---|---|
| Checkpoint Flag | Places a respawn point for when you go unconscious | Regular, Big, Explorer’s Luggage |
| Portable Stove | Cooks items; removes 5 cold/sec within 3.2m (legendary) | Regular, Big Luggage in Roots, Tropics, Alpine, Mesa, Caldera, The Kiln |
| Scout Cannon | Launches players across distances without damage | Regular, Big, Explorer’s Luggage |
| Anti-Zooka | 15m anti-gravity bubble, fires up to 40m, 3 uses | Ancient Statues, Ancient Luggage |
| Magic Bean | Grows a 12m climbable beanstalk | Shore, Tropics, Roots, Alpine, Mesa |
| Piton | Permanent handhold for resting mid-climb | Regular, Big, Explorer’s Luggage |

The pattern to remember is simple. Standard climbing tools and rest items come from Luggage you loot along the route, while the upward “anti” variants and the Anti-Zooka are locked behind Ancient Statues and Ancient Luggage. Match the tool to the obstacle, watch the launch direction on ropes and cannons, and keep a Portable Stove or Checkpoint Flag in reserve for the harder biomes.
