Pebbling is the mineral-eating starting point of a family that splits in two directions, and the split is permanent for any individual creature. One line burns, one line hardens, and both end in a Nova stage BREAK unit that fights very differently from the other.
Quick answer: Pebbling evolves at level 38 into either Lavazar or Geodeback, one choice per creature. Lavazar becomes Magmarex at level 48 with Blaze Stone x1, and Geodeback becomes Minespine at level 48 with Loam Stone x1.
Every Pebbling evolution requirement
Four evolutions exist in this family, and nothing else. The two level 38 evolutions are parallel options from the same creature, while the two level 48 evolutions each sit at the end of their own branch.
| Evolution | Level | Condition | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pebbling → Lavazar | 38 | Reach the required Aniimo level | None |
| Pebbling → Geodeback | 38 | Reach the required Aniimo level | None |
| Lavazar → Magmarex | 48 | Soak in the hot spring pool; defeat Alpha Magmarex | Blaze Stone x1 |
| Geodeback → Minespine | 48 | Defeat the Alpha Minespine | Loam Stone x1 |
Magmarex and Minespine are both stage 3. Neither has any further evolution.

Pebbling is a Rock element BREAK unit from the Breezy Plains, and it lives in the Zephyrus Landbridge. It stands 0.85 m tall and weighs 6 kg, with base stats of 83 HP, 68 attack, 52 defense, 79 BP attack, 68 magic attack, 74 magic defense and 56 EP regen. Its kit is short at this stage, covering ATK, Stone Shell and Earth Spikes.

Both of its Aniilog research tasks are field work rather than combat. One asks for a photo of a Pebbling eating stones, and the other asks you to Twine with a Pebbling and explore a tunnel dug by a wild Lavazar.
The level 38 branch: Lavazar or Geodeback
At level 38 the game offers both Gamma stage options side by side, and your Pebbling takes exactly one of them. This is a fork, not a sequence, so a Pebbling that becomes Lavazar can never become Geodeback later. If you want both final forms in the Aniilog, you need two separate Pebbling.
Lavazar
Lavazar adds Fire to the family’s Rock typing and shares the Zephyrus Landbridge habitat. It reaches 1.35 m at 6 kg, with 99 HP, 82 attack, 63 defense, 93 BP attack, 82 magic attack, 80 magic defense and 68 EP regen. Its skills are ATK, Lava Breath and Fiery Punch, all Fire.

Geodeback
Geodeback stays pure Rock and keeps the same three-skill loadout as Pebbling: ATK, Stone Shell and Earth Spikes. It is the shorter of the two at 1 m and 6 kg, with 99 HP, 81 attack, 80 defense, 102 BP attack, 81 magic attack, 54 magic defense and 70 EP regen. Its research task asks you to Twine with a Geodeback and approach a wild Pebbling.

How to get Magmarex from Lavazar
Magmarex comes out at 1.9 m and 6 kg with 110 HP, 91 attack, 70 defense, 104 BP attack, 91 magic attack, 89 magic defense and 75 EP regen. It keeps Lava Breath from the previous stage and picks up Lava Punch, Magma Surge and the heavy Burning Sun, which is its strongest Fire hit at 140 power.

How to get Minespine from Geodeback
Minespine reaches 1.6 m at 6 kg with 110 HP, 90 attack, 97 defense, 105 BP attack, 90 magic attack, 60 magic defense and 78 EP regen. It carries the whole Rock line forward and adds Seismic Wave, which runs for 8s and costs 40 EP, plus Meteor Shower at 175 power.

Seismic Wave is tagged as a Pound skill, which is the same skill category that pulls tunneling targets out of the ground.
Magmarex vs Minespine: Stats and element coverage
The two endpoints share the same HP pool and sit within a point of each other on BP attack, so the real difference is where the durability goes and what their damage hits for extra.
| Aniimo | HP | Defense | BP attack |
|---|---|---|---|
| 83 | 52 | 79 | |
| 99 | 63 | 93 | |
| 99 | 80 | 102 | |
| 110 | 70 | 104 | |
| 110 | 97 | 105 |
Minespine is the tougher body against physical hits with 97 defense, but only 60 magic defense. Magmarex flips that, sitting at 70 defense with a much higher 89 magic defense, which matters against magic-heavy encounters.
Element coverage decides the rest. Fire and Rock both hit Ice for extra damage, but they solve different problems everywhere else.
| Element | 1.6x damage against | 0.625x damage against |
|---|---|---|
| Rock | Fire, Ice | Dark, Grass, Rock, Water |
| Fire | Grass, Ice | Fire, Holy, Rock, Water |
Everything not listed takes normal damage. Since Magmarex carries both Fire and Rock typing but only Fire skills, it is the answer to Grass targets, while Minespine’s pure Rock kit is the one you bring against Fire.
Magmarex Prismana form
The only alternate form in the family belongs to Magmarex (Prismana). It drops Rock for Dark, making it a Fire and Dark unit at element level 4, and it keeps the base form’s stat line of 110 HP, 91 attack, 70 defense, 104 BP attack, 91 magic attack, 89 magic defense and 75 EP regen. It is also recorded in the Zephyrus Landbridge.

Dark Energy Surge is locked to that form. It is a Dark skill costing 20 EP at 30 power with an 18s cooldown, and it stuns everything caught in the cone for 2.5s. Base Magmarex does not have it, and neither do Lavazar, Geodeback or Minespine. Encountering a Prismana Form Magmarex is also one of base Magmarex’s research tasks.
How to confirm the evolution worked
Check the Aniilog number first. The family runs from Pebbling at No. 70 through Lavazar at No. 71, Magmarex at No. 72, Geodeback at No. 73 and Minespine at No. 74, so a successful evolution moves the creature onto a new entry.
The skill list is the second check. A finished Magmarex shows Lava Punch, Magma Surge and Burning Sun alongside Lava Breath, while a finished Minespine shows Seismic Wave and Meteor Shower on top of Stone Shell and Earth Spikes. Release rewards also land at the same time, with Growth Flower x1 for Geodeback and Growth Flower x2 for Minespine.
After that, the only work left is the other branch. Catch a second Pebbling in the Zephyrus Landbridge, take it to level 38, and send it down whichever path you skipped the first time.
