The catch is that most of it only works if you physically walk into a participating store, and the whole thing runs on a hard deadline.

The Lego Store activities run from August 3 through September 30, 2026, ending at 11:59 PM local time on the final day. Everything tied to a store, the Timed Research, the Stamp Rally, the raid, and the SMART Play demo, is available only at participating Lego Store locations in six countries.

How to unlock and complete the Lego Timed Research
The Timed Research does not appear from home. It triggers only when you are near a participating Lego Store and collect your first stamp from that store’s PokéStop. Once you have it, you have until the event closes on September 30 to finish all five tasks and claim the rewards, or the quest expires.

Finishing the step nets 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and the 2026 Lego Pokémon Jacket for your trainer avatar. The “Hatch an Egg” and “Win a raid” tasks are the ones most likely to hold you up, so plan for an incubated egg and a raid before the deadline.
Lego Stamp Rally and the special background Pikachu
The Stamp Rally is the anchor of the event. Participating stores get new PokéStops that carry a stamp icon on the map. Spin one and a circular stamp sheet appears, then press and hold the center to stamp it, the longer you hold, the darker the ink. Stamps cannot be re-stamped or adjusted once placed.
Each stamp you collect rewards a Pikachu encounter with a Lego-themed background. That Pikachu also shows a stamp icon above it on the map, so you can tell it apart from wild spawns. Visiting more participating stores adds more stamps and more of these encounters.
After your first stamp, a new Stamp Rally section is added to your Scrapbook. That page tracks the stamps you have collected and keeps a record of past rallies. A collected PokéStop switches its stamp icon to a check mark, so you always know which ones are still left.
Lego background Pikachu raid rules
Each participating store also has a Gym hosting a one-star Pikachu raid. It is easy to solo, and catching the Pikachu after the battle can give it the Lego special background, the same one featured at Go Fest Copenhagen.
A few limits are worth knowing before you go. The raid runs between 10 AM and 6 PM each day, giving you a single window daily, and you can only take part once per day per store. Remote Raiding does not work here, these are local only. The Pikachu can be shiny and can evolve into Raichu.
Global promo codes for extra research and items
Two promo codes are available to every trainer worldwide, no store visit required. Redeem them on the Pokémon Go Web Store, then open the game to receive the rewards.

Lego Pokémon SMART Play demo and stickers
Inside participating stores, the in-store Trainer Centers run a Lego Pokémon SMART Play demo built around the SMART Brick sets. Taking part gets you a unique collectible SMART Play Tag and a special stamp for your Lego Passport, both available only while stocks last.
Start times for the SMART Play demo can differ from store to store, so check your local shop’s schedule before heading out. Separately, spinning PokéStops at Lego Stores and completing the event Timed Research is how you collect the full set of Lego-themed stickers.
This is the second Pokémon Go and Lego collaboration of the year, following the in-person tie-in at Go Fest Copenhagen in June. If you never made it to a store or missed a task, the whole event closes at 11:59 PM local time on September 30, 2026, so leave enough time to hatch an egg and win that raid before the window shuts.
