Feebas has come to town in Pokémon Pokopia, and befriending it along with its evolution, Milotic, comes down to one task. You gather an event-only currency called Prism Scales, spend them at Feebas’ shop, and use the furniture to build two beach habitats that both Water-type Pokémon will move into.
Quick answer: Rebuild at least one Pokémon Center, talk to Feebas out front, then collect 50 Prism Scales on Dream Islands to buy the furniture for the Exciting beach (Feebas) and Marine leisure activities (Milotic) habitats before the event ends on August 28.
Event window and access requirements
The Fetching Scales for Feebas event runs from August 13, 2026 at 5:00 a.m. to August 28, 2026 at 4:59 a.m. local time. Once that window closes, Feebas and its shop leave town, and no return date has been announced.
Before Feebas will appear, a few conditions need to be in place. You must have installed the free Ver. 2.0.0 update, rebuilt at least one Pokémon Center from the base game, and unlocked Dream Islands so you have somewhere to farm Prism Scales.
The event is tied to an online check, so simply changing your Nintendo Switch 2 system clock to the event dates will not let you take part. You can grab the update from the official Pokémon Pokopia update page if you have not already.
- The event does not run in Bubbly Basin, the paid Expansion Pass area.
- It also does not run on Cloud Islands.
- Feebas activities happen only in your main town, at rebuilt Pokémon Centers.
How to start the event and meet Feebas
Where to find Prism Scales
Prism Scales are found across Dream Islands, both out in the open on beaches and deeper inside caves. Look for small blue shells with a pink tip, then interact using the Y-button prompt to pick them up.
The Pikachu Doll Dream Island is a reliable spot without any add-ons. A single run there can yield well over 20 scales, so the beaches are worth sweeping thoroughly before you move underground.
The caves on any Dream Island hold more scales, so check them once you have cleared the surface. The item highlights with a Y-button prompt when you are close enough to grab it.
If you own the Expansion Pass, the Starmie Doll Dream Island is the fastest farm. Prism Scales appear in large clusters through the main underwater sections, with extras scattered across the surface and inside the underwater caves.
Note: You need 50 Prism Scales in total to buy everything required for both habitats. Since a single trip usually falls short of that, plan on a few visits across multiple days.
Feebas shop items and Prism Scale prices
Feebas’ shop sits at the counter inside every rebuilt Pokémon Center from the base game. Each item costs a set number of Prism Scales, so you can plan purchases around exactly what the two habitats need.

Build both habitats for Feebas and Milotic
Two event habitats attract the pair. The Exciting beach draws in Feebas, while the Marine leisure activities habitat brings in Milotic. Buying the furniture below and placing it adds each habitat to your Habitat Dex.

The Floating Lantern is optional. It is a paintable lighting piece, but it is not required for either habitat, so buy it only if you want the extra decoration.
How to confirm Feebas and Milotic have moved in
Once you place the Sand Bed and Big Swim Ring together, the Exciting beach registers in your Habitat Dex as entry No. 006, and Feebas will settle there as a common resident. Building the Marine leisure activities habitat with the Swim Ring, Cooler, and Beach Volleyball Set adds entry No. 007, and Milotic is drawn to it.
If a habitat is not registering, the usual cause is a missing furniture piece. Both habitats need every listed item placed together, so double-check that you bought the exact set and did not swap in a similar-looking piece. Finishing both before the August 28 cutoff is the only way to lock in Feebas and Milotic, since the shop and its furniture disappear when the event ends.
