Procrustes’ Iron Bed Quest Guide in Genshin Impact 7.0

Clear both branching sub-quests, solve the ice statue puzzle, and win the chapel fight for Primogems and Mora.

Clear both branching sub-quests, solve the ice statue puzzle, and win the chapel fight for Primogems and Mora.

Procrustes’ Iron Bed is the second stop in the Hesperides of Love and Hate world quest chain on Fellfrost Peak, added with Genshin Impact 7.0. It cannot be finished by chasing a single marker. Instead, you first clear two child quests, The Sun’s Gilded Apple and House of the Soulless, then head to the chapel for a short fight to wrap everything up.

Quick answer: Complete both The Sun’s Gilded Apple and House of the Soulless to recover the two Severed Fragments of Ikhor, then go to the chapel, talk to Ikhor, and defeat three waves of Snegovik. The quest completes automatically after the fight.

Unlock requirement for Procrustes’ Iron Bed

Procrustes’ Iron Bed begins the moment you finish Through the Gates of Ivory, the first quest in the chain. To reach that point you need Adventure Rank 18 and the completion of Gunfire in the Silent Lands from Chapter VII: Act I. After the wedding cutscene at the House of Hesperides, reconvene with Paimon and the Eye of Graeae, then leave the room to open up the two required sub-quests.

The Sun’s Gilded Apple: sneak past the Jack Frosts

This branch is a short stealth challenge. You need to reach a fragment without stepping into any enemy’s line of sight, shown as a red cone on the ground.

Travel to the marked courtyard outside the castle and speak with the guard to begin the sneaking task.
Move toward the fountain area while staying out of the Jack Frosts’ red view cones. Wait for their patrol gaps before you cross open ground.
Take the stairs up to the next section, which holds a Precious Chest. Circle around the Jack Frosts here and make your way to the tree.
Climb the tree and pick up the fragment at the top. A Luxurious Chest sits nearby, so grab it before you leave. Collecting the fragment completes The Sun’s Gilded Apple and grants 30 Primogems plus Hero’s Wit.

House of the Soulless: the ice statue puzzle

The second branch mixes a bit of investigation with a construct-placement puzzle. Since the guard blocks the front door, you enter the room a different way.

Return to the palace and follow the navigation to the marked room. A Snegovik standing guard stops you, so you need another route inside.
Keep following the marker outside the palace until you reach the balcony that lets you slip into the room from behind.

Inspect the bookcase, the bed, and the vase inside the room. After all three checks, a cat appears and sits by the vase. Rotate the vase to open the hidden door.
Take the temporary blueprints from the statue in the corner and refund the construct already sitting in the puzzle area, so you can rearrange the pieces freely.

Place one construct in the middle spot and one in the top-left corner. This opens a secret door leading to another statue. Approach it and collect its temporary blueprint as well.

Go back to the puzzle room and place the final construct in the bottom-right spot to finish the arrangement.

Head into the secret cellar and pick up the fragment. That completes House of the Soulless and awards 30 Primogems.

Chapel fight against the out-of-control Snegovik

Both fragments are Severed Fragments of Ikhor, and recovering them automatically advances Procrustes’ Iron Bed. With that done, go to the chapel to close out the quest.

Enter the chapel and speak with Ikhor to reform his body. A cutscene plays before the fight begins.

Clear all three enemy waves. The line-up is fixed, so build for Cryo-heavy foes and bring a healer if you are under-leveled.

3Glacial Warden ×3

You will know the quest is finished when the on-screen completion banner appears with the rewards and the story rolls into the next quest, Bell Ringing at Dusk. If Procrustes’ Iron Bed still shows as incomplete, it means one of the two child quests, The Sun’s Gilded Apple or House of the Soulless, has not been fully cleared yet.

Finishing the chapel fight pays out the main quest rewards on top of what the two branches already gave you.
