Recreating Akaza, the Upper Moon Three demon whose human name is Hakuji Soyama, in Project Slayers 2 is not a single unlock. It is a stack of separate systems that each have their own gate: a clan roll, a race change through Muzan, the Shockwave Blood Demon Art, the Soryu fighting style, a weapon, and Akaza’s own boss drops. Some pieces depend on others, so the order you tackle them in matters.
Quick answer: To complete the Akaza build, roll the Supreme Soyama clan (0.1% chance), obtain the Demon race through Muzan’s quest, and use Shockwave BDA with Annihilation Type at Mastery 53. The rest of the setup is Soryu, Damascus Sickles, and Akaza’s outfit, which drops from his boss fight.
The six pieces that make up the Akaza build
Akaza is built by combining independent parts rather than picking one preset. The rarest piece is the clan itself. Everything else is a matter of quests, training, and repeated boss runs.

The progression is not strictly linear, but the Demon race has to come before the Shockwave BDA, and Shockwave mastery is required for its final move. That dependency shapes the whole route.
The Soyama clan is the rarest gate
Soyama sits in the Supreme clan tier with a listed roll chance of just 0.1%, making it the single most time-consuming part of the build for anyone starting without it. Clan spins are used from the character customization menu until Soyama appears. Players who want to protect an existing character can roll on a separate slot instead of risking their current setup.
Once active, the clan carries a set of stat bonuses and passives. The passives are not automatic, they still have to be bought from the skill tree.

Becoming a Demon through Muzan
The Demon race is the foundation for both the appearance and the Blood Demon Art. A character has to be Human to follow the normal path. Slayers can convert back through the Reset Race option, which costs 120 Robux.
The quest only becomes available once reputation drops into the negative. Attacking civilians and Demon Slayers pushes it down, and fighting Kanoe Demon Slayers in Iceveil Valley is an efficient route because it lowers reputation toward -50 while also feeding experience.
Muzan only appears at night. He spawns at various points around the world, including near Mistfall Harbor, and a HUD marker shows how far he is once you are on a server where he is present. Server hopping cuts down the wait for nighttime.
When you speak with him, he gives you the Biwa Bell. Use it to travel to Muzan’s Lair within the Infinity Castle, where he tasks you with collecting 9 Spider Lilies and bringing him Dr. Higoshima.
Look for Spider Lilies around the pond at the center near Giyu’s spawn, as well as across Bamboo Grove. The blue and red flowers both count, and you need nine in total.
Find Dr. Higoshima on an elevated ledge near the Butterfly Estate, then scale the wall to reach him. Once you have picked him up, deliver him to the designated safe zone. NPCs and other players may attack during the carry, so riding a horse makes the journey much more reliable.
Delivering the doctor hands over Muzan’s Blood. Drinking it triggers the transformation, unlocks the Demon title, and gives the avatar demon horns. That title confirms the race change went through.
Rolling and unlocking the Shockwave Blood Demon Art
Back in Muzan’s Lair, Demon Art spins produce Blood Demon Arts. The pool is wide, holding options like Reaper, Dream, Tamari, Arrow, Obi Manipulation, Blood Manipulation, Pyrokinesis and Cryokinesis, so landing Shockwave by chance can take many spins. The Shockwave Orb can also be bought directly from Muzan for 54 spins, which removes the luck entirely.
Breaking the Shockwave Orb starts Shockwave Core Training, a five-part sequence that has to be finished before the skill tree opens.

Demons take continuous damage in daylight, and several training tasks happen outdoors. A Sun Hat from Kazu at Mistfall Harbor (10,000) or a Bamboo Sandogasa grants sun immunity and keeps the outdoor steps from becoming a slow death.
Shockwave skill tree and Annihilation Type
Complete Core Training to unlock the Shockwave skill tree. Moves become available at specific mastery levels, but you must also spend skill points to purchase them. Build mastery by repeatedly taking down bosses including Hoyuzo, Obari, Tengai, Giyu and Sumari; a 2x Mastery boost makes the process faster.

The one that matters most for the Akaza identity is Annihilation Type at Mastery 53. It also drops directly from the Akaza boss, so the boss farm and the mastery grind feed each other.
Damascus Sickles from Hoyuzo
Hoyuzo drops the Damascus Sickles. This Level 50 boss is found in the cave behind the waterfall, and the sickles have an approximately 7% drop chance, making multiple attempts likely. The Battle Kimono Uniform is another possible drop and is classified as common.
Farming Hoyuzo does double duty. His kills add to Shockwave mastery, and Refinement Ore can drop during the runs, which feeds the upgrade step later.

The Akaza boss drops and its naming quirks
Fight Akaza to obtain both the outfit and the last Shockwave move. Reach the boss via a concealed path past the vines beside the Serpent Trainee. Each item has a 5% drop chance, so expect to defeat the boss multiple times.

Two name details are easy to miss. In the inventory, look for the outfit under the in-game spellings Azaka’s Top and Azaka’s Bottoms. The open-world encounter uses the name Akeza; in the Mugen Train raid, the character is called Akaza and has 12,500 HP.
A 4x Luck boost from the shop improves the odds on those 5% drops, and health regeneration elixirs from Alchemist Meku help sustain repeated attempts against a boss built around heavy close-range combos.
The Soryu fighting style and Kazuma’s four-part trial
Akaza’s hand-to-hand fighting style is Soryu, obtained through its own trial. Soryu Expert Kazuma lives in Mistfall Harbor. From Giyu’s central spawn, pass through the vines, descend into Hidden Mist Village, then cross the bridge to his house. Speak with him to begin The Soryu Trial, which consists of four parts.
- Catch 20 common fish, which needs a Fishing Permit from Dock Master Sofen and a Basic Fishing Rod from Fisherman Jeso
- Retrieve the Soryu Scroll from the flooded cave beneath Kazuma’s house
- Deal 8,000 M1 damage using fists only, with weapon hits not counting
- Defeat Soryu Trainee Goki, found beneath the waterfall
Clearing Goki completes the trial and unlocks the Soryu fighting style. From there its moves come online, including Bone Breaker and Face Breaker, the latter requiring Mastery 14 plus another Goki defeat.
Both the fighting style and the Damascus Sickles can be refined afterward at Refiner Hagane inside the Hidden Mist Village, using Refinement Ores and Yen up to +7. Since Hoyuzo runs already stock those ores, the upgrade fits neatly at the end of the route.
The finished Akaza look
The appearance is handled through the customization editor. The human Hakuji version uses dark spiky hair and white martial arts clothing. The demon version switches to bright pink spiky hair, pale blue-white skin, Akaza’s facial markings, a bare torso and white cropped pants, with the demon eye option becoming available only after progressing past Weak Demon.
First, take off Slayer vanity items, including the Flame Haori, Silent Vesture Top Hat and Volcanic Katana; they remain on display and conflict with the intended appearance. Put Azaka’s Top and Bottoms over the base setup, then add Annihilation Type, Demon Core, Compass Needle, Flashing Willow and the Soryu combos. At that point, all the gated systems come together as one Upper Moon Three character.
