Slayers 2 begins in Windy Peak Village with very little direction. An optional early quest, Recover the Lost Pages, gives you a way forward: Kona offers it, and the reward points you toward the rest of the early game.
Quick answer: Accept Recover the Lost Pages from Kona, pick up the five pages scattered across the ground in Windy Peak Village in whatever order you like, and bring them back to Kona to receive the Book of Guidance.
All 5 Lost Pages locations in Windy Peak Village
Every page sits at ground level inside the village boundary, so you never have to fight anything or walk out through the main gate. The pages hug walls, barrels, and plants, which is why they are easy to run straight past. Use this as a checklist.
| Page | Landmark | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Dirt path by Kona’s house | Next to the wooden barrels and stone lantern |
| 2 | Perimeter wall corner | Ground beside the big tree and flowers |
| 3 | Windy Peak crystal | Grass beside the glowing pink crystal |
| 4 | Bamboo house | Green grass by the bamboo, off the main road |
| 5 | Torii gate courtyard | Between the large tree and the dark rock |
The page on the dirt path beside Kona
Of the five, this page is nearest to Kona and is the easiest to spot. Exit Kona’s house and take the dirt route beside the building toward the main gate. Near the stacked wooden barrels and stone lantern, check the dirt for the page lying flat close to the spawn point.
The page along the perimeter wall by the large tree
Face the main gate while remaining inside the village, then go left rather than exiting. Follow the stone wall beyond the flower patch until it turns at the corner beside the oversized tree. Check the trunk’s base for the page; a red indicator arrow appears when you get near it.

The page next to the Windy Peak crystal
Go to the glowing pink crystal used as the Windy Peak fast travel point. You will find the page in the grass immediately beside the crystal, and an unlocked point displays the Windy Peak Fast Travel prompt as you approach. Check around the nearby large boulders as well, because pages in this area may become lodged behind them.

The page in the bamboo behind the blue-roofed house
Go to the house nearest the gate, the one ringed with bamboo and with the NPC MoldySugar standing close by. Climb onto the raised stone wall, then drop down behind the blue-roofed structure. The page is on the green grass next to the bamboo rather than anywhere along the main road, so the running route past the front door will never reveal it.
The page in the torii gate courtyard
Go through the red torii gate into the grassy courtyard where Yogider Sasuke and a Civilian are present. Search the space between the large tree and dark rock, where the page generally appears. Kazu is positioned by the stone wall along the route; look beyond that wall in the grassy hollow too, especially in the corner by the drop-off.

T once the Lost Page Pick Up prompt appears. Since the order is irrelevant, collect the first one you reach and the counter will advance normally.
Because the entire village is a safe zone, you can move between landmarks by sprinting and jumping without Paza’s Bandits or other enemies spawning on you.
Stuck on 4/5: other spots to sweep
One of the five almost always ends up being the holdout, because the pages lie flat and sit flush against props. If the counter will not move, walk these landmarks slowly with the camera low and watch for the pickup prompt instead of trying to spot the page model itself.
- The ground beside the spawn gate, steps from where you appear.
- Take the route leading from the central plateau toward the largest house, which has three barrels piled together.
- Beside the ramp leading upward toward the barbecue lady, check the wall.
- On the house’s side closest to the main gate, look in the small patch of green grass.
- Use the stone ledge and slope on the route linking the central plateau with the area around the torii gate.
The barbecue ramp causes the most trouble. Its page is pressed against the wall and hidden by the geometry from a normal running view, so walk up the ramp slowly while looking toward the ground. Bamboo and clusters of flowers appear around several of these locations and provide helpful visual markers.
Turning in the pages and claiming the Book of Guidance
After the tracker reaches Lost Pages 5/5, the search is complete and a message confirms that you will receive the Book of Guidance. Go back through the village, speak with Kona again, and he will take the pages and give you the reward immediately.
| Reward | What it does |
|---|---|
| Book of Guidance | Points you to the next recommended quest and its NPC |
| 100 Exp | Early character progression |
| 100 Wen | Starting currency |
Completion is confirmed once the quest disappears from your tracker and Book of Guidance is added to your inventory in the All category with a New! label. Before proceeding, open the inventory and verify the item is present, because the Exp and Wen arrive at the same time.
Afterward, the book supplies the guidance missing from the opening hours. It identifies the next recommended quest and its NPC, turning the remaining Windy Peak starting chain from an unmarked village search into a clearly directed route.
