Demon Horns are a demon-only material in Project Slayers 2. No shop sells them, no recipe makes them, and no quest hands you a stack. You get them by killing demons, and since every drop is a separate roll, the thing that actually determines how many horns you end up with is how many demons you can kill per minute without walking across half the map.
Quick answer: Hunt demons. For an efficient early route, enter the hidden cave behind the Bamboo Grove waterfall: each Hoyuzo Subordinate has roughly a 30% chance to leave one horn, and the Lv 52 boss inside gives three.
Demon Horn drop rates by enemy
Four demons are worth building a route around. They differ less in whether they drop horns and more in how far you have to travel and how hard they hit back.
| Enemy | Location | Drop | Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hoyuzo Subordinate | Hidden cave, Bamboo Grove | Demon Horns x1 | ~30% |
| Hoyuzo (Lv 52 boss) | Back of the same cave | Demon Horns x3 | 50% |
| Blood Hounded Demon | Mistfall Harbor cave | Demon Horns x1 | — |
| High Demon | Iceveil Valley tundra | Demon Horns x1 | 50% |
Hoyuzo Subordinates are the lowest-level option of the group and the one a character in the low-to-mid 20s can reach and survive, which is why the waterfall cave is the default answer. High Demons have the best rate of any regular spawn, but they sit in the endgame tundra and fight smarter than anything else on this list.

The cave is the whole trick here. There is no marker for it, no door, and no interaction prompt — the entrance is literally behind falling water, and if you do not know that, you will run past it every time.

The NPC Wagwan waits just inside with two quests, “I will clear out his guards (Lv 40)” and “Take care of Heyzou (Lv 50)”. Neither is needed for horns to drop, and you can abandon them later — Flame Trainer Rengu across Mistfall Harbor is one place to do it if you would rather start Flame Breathing Training at Lv 25.
Farming Hoyuzo Subordinates for a repeatable loop
The front chamber holds several Hoyuzo Subordinates on a short respawn timer, so you clear the room, wait, and clear it again. They hit harder than ordinary mobs, but a mid-20s character with a basic breathing style can take them one at a time without much trouble.

Every kill makes its own roll for Demon Horns x1 at roughly 30%. The horn appears on the ground at the demon’s death spot instead of entering your bag, so collect it before engaging the next demon.

Set Bamboo Grove Sanctuary as your respawn crystal before you start. If you die, the walk back to the waterfall stays under a minute, and that shortcut does more for your horns per hour than squeezing out extra damage does.
Hoyuzo boss drops (Lv 52)
Beyond the Subordinates, the tunnel leads to Hoyuzo, the level 52 Sickle Reaper. A single efficient boss kill may save you from running through a lengthy minion circuit.
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Exp x100 | Guaranteed |
| Demon Horns x3 | 50% |
| Hoyuzo’s Haori x1 (Lvl.52) | 12% |
| Muzan’s Blood x1 | 10% |
| Sickles x1 (Lvl.52) | 5% |
| Sickles x1 (Lvl.52) | 5% |
Each of the two Sickles has an independent roll, meaning one kill can award both. Beyond horns, the important drop is Muzan’s Blood, which is used to turn a slayer into a demon.

At level 52, the boss is stronger than anything in the front room, so save him for later instead of starting with him. Fighting alongside a party is much more reliable, while a failed run wastes more time than completing a few additional Subordinate loops.
Higher-level farms: Mistfall Harbor and Iceveil Valley
Mistfall Harbor cave
Use the Mistfall Harbor crystal in Mistfall Village as your spawn, then ride beyond the houses to the cave doorway. Blood Hounded Demons inside cast Blood Demon Arts, making standing still dangerous, but they offer a better horn rate than Bamboo Grove Subordinates. Choose this cave naturally if you are already working near the harbor.
Iceveil Valley tundra
Beyond Mother Bear and the Caden boss, the snowy fields contain High Demon spawns. Regular enemies have no better rate than their 50% Demon Horns chance, although these demons also have sharper AI. Because several may aggro together, this is better with friends than alone.
How to confirm a Demon Horn actually dropped
A successful drop has two visible signs: the Demon Horns item lies where the demon died, and picking it up triggers an inventory message showing its name and quantity. When farming with a group, verify the stack in your bag, since a busy room can make loot difficult to follow.

A kill with no item means its drop roll failed. Horns are not guaranteed from either the Subordinates or Hoyuzo, so increase the number of kills rather than changing routes.
Demon Horns in the original Project Slayers
The first game is more generous with horns: each demon kill awards exactly one Demon Horn without any roll. Chests appearing after boss kills, including Kaden and Sabito, can also rarely contain them, but direct demon kills remain the reliable option.
- Abubu Cave contains three underground demons, with a spawn point immediately at the entrance. Before entering, you will see a warning prompt at the cave mouth.
- Zapiwara Cave contains three Sakurai demons per cycle, with lower HP and damage and a spawn point nearby. Carry a lantern because the tunnels are dark enough to make them hard to track.
- East of Kiribating Village, the woods contain many demons, and Abubu Cave provides the closest respawn.
The horns also serve a specific purpose. Rather than paying Wen for them, NPC Tony in Ushumaru Village, past Zapiwara Mountain, trades 250 Demon Horns for Claws.
Whichever game you are in, the math is the same. Horn totals come from kill speed and short walks back, not from picking the flashiest enemy on the map — so set your crystal, pick the room with the most demons packed into it, and run the loop.
