The exact route from Windy Farm to Stone Trainer Gyorei, plus the level and weapon requirements for Stone Breathing.

Stone Breathing is taught by a single NPC in Project Slayers 2, and he is tucked away in one of the harder corners of the map to reach. The trainer sits inside Stone Sanctuary, past a cliff wall that you cannot pass without the Wall Climb skill, and he shares the area with a world boss that will flatten you if you linger.

Quick answer: Stone Trainer Gyorei stands against the side wall of the large wooden building in Stone Sanctuary, reached by following the cliffside path from the bear area and climbing the stone wall at the end.

Stone Breathing requirements in Project Slayers 2

Standing next to Gyorei does not give you the style. Check these off before you make the trip, because the walk is long and there is no shortcut back.

RequirementDetails
Level25
Wall ClimbNeeded to scale the Stone Sanctuary cliff
WeaponAxe and Mace, taken from the Stone Trainee
Materials5 Beast Scrolls reported alongside the weapon

Unlock Wall Climb in your skill tree first. Several breathing trainers sit above cliffs or on rooftops, and the route to Stone Sanctuary is one of the trips that is not possible without it.

Route to Stone Sanctuary from Windy Farm

Spawn at Windy Farm and take the main path leading down and away from the farm buildings. You will pass under a stone archway that drops you into the Wilderness.

Keep following the trail as it runs into the Bamboo Grove. The path is marked by torii gates, so stay on it rather than cutting across the open ground.

Enter Oubari by way of the red torii gate. Mother Bear and Bear Cub enemies patrol the area, while the Serpent King Obari world boss is close by, surrounded by bandits. Keep dashing forward and do not stop to engage them.

Go through the second red torii gate, which puts you back in the Wilderness heading toward Ushio Mid Village – Pendant Cliffs. From the high ledge you can drop down onto the lower pathway instead of looping around.

Follow the cliffside trail along the ridge. When the dirt road forks, take the left path and stay on the lower route. The upper climb leads to the Thunder Breathing trainer instead.

The path ends at a tall rock face labelled Stone Sanctuary. Hold against the wall to trigger Wall Climb and ride the green progress ring to the top of the plateau.

Where Stone Trainer Gyorei stands in Stone Sanctuary

Once you are on top of the plateau, you will see a red torii gate with the Gyorei World Boss beneath it. That boss is level 3000 and is not the trainer. Run past it toward the cluster of village buildings behind.

The trainer is at the large wooden building. Stone Trainer Gyorei stands against the side wall, flat against the structure rather than out in the open, which is why most players run straight past him. An [E] Chat prompt appears over his head when you are close enough to interact.

Get the Axe and Mace from the Stone Trainee first

Stone Breathing is built around the Axe and Mace, and you cannot use the style properly without that weapon set. The Stone Trainee NPC waits on the grassy hill in the same area, a short run from the trainer, and you unlock the weapons by defeating him.

Handle the trainee before you talk to Gyorei. Doing it in that order means you can start the training questline immediately instead of climbing back up the cliff a second time.

How to confirm you have unlocked Stone Breathing

Interacting with Gyorei opens his dialogue and lists what he still wants from you. If you are short on level or materials, he will say so instead of starting the training, which is the fastest way to verify your requirements without guessing.

Once you meet everything and pay his cost, the training objectives appear in your quest tracker. Work through them, and Stone Breathing registers on your character when the final objective clears — the style becomes selectable and the Axe and Mace moveset is available on your keybinds.

Do not attack the Gyorei World Boss while farming near the sanctuary. At level 3000 it is far outside the range of anyone arriving at the level 25 requirement.

If the NPC is not where he should be, check your height first — the building wall hides him from the usual camera angle, so pull the camera back and circle the structure before assuming you are in the wrong part of the map. A rejoin also fixes cases where the area has not loaded in fully.
