Qingxiao Damage Guide: How to Push Her to 1.7M in Wuthering Waves

Qingxiao is a 5-star Aero Sword Main DPS in Wuthering Waves whose damage climbs almost entirely through stacked amplifiers. Her personal hits start modest, but each layer of Mindlock, Tune Strain support, and Crit-focused gear multiplies her output. Reaching the 1.7 million total damage figure on a single rotation comes from stacking those layers correctly, not from any hidden mechanic.

Quick answer: Build Qingxiao with full Mindlock stacks (65% DMG Amp from Mindlock plus another 65% from her Inherent Skill), a CRIT DMG 4-cost Calamity Effigy, her signature Glint of Clouds sword, and a Tune Strain team of Mornye plus Denia. Where Qingxiao’s damage actually comes from

Qingxiao cycles between Sheathed Stance and Drawn Stance during her basic attacks. Sheathed Stance hits build Qin Heart, and Drawn Stance hits build Sword Cadence. Once both meters are full, her Heavy Attack consumes them and sends her into the Ephemeral Transcendence state, which unlocks a stronger Basic Attack and Dodge Counter that feed Heart Sword Intent toward her biggest single-hit finisher.

Best weapon and echo build for maximum damage

Her signature sword Glint of Clouds is the strongest option by a wide margin. It provides high Crit Rate, a 56% Aero DMG Bonus, and ignores 10% of the target’s DEF, all of which stack directly with her Tune Strain playstyle. The weapon’s Aero DMG buff extends to 30 seconds and gains the DEF ignore once it reaches max stacks, so uptime stays high through a full rotation.

For echoes, run the 5-piece Heart of Evil’s Purge set with a Calamity Effigy as the main echo. Enter combat and cast your Intro and early attacks to begin building Qin Heart and Sword Cadence while your Tune Strain support applies Interfered stacks. Your first Heavy Attack after entering combat applies bonus Mindlock stacks nearby, which speeds up the ramp.

Cycle Sheathed and Drawn Stance basics until both meters fill, then cast Heavy Attack – Stringblade to enter Ephemeral Transcendence. This also inflicts Mindlock and enhances your next Heaven’s Reckoning by raising its multiplier 100%.
