During the Battle of the Coaches quest, Phil and Mushu both want to prove they coach better, and Hercules pulls you into the contest. One trial drops a vague request on you. You have to cook the Ravenous Boar's preferred meal, and the game leaves you to work out the answer alone. The dish you need is a Lobster Roll.

What the Ravenous Boar wants in the Battle of the Coaches quest
The Ravenous Boar in this trial is Pumbaa. He's normally tied to bug-based dishes, so a seafood pick feels off at first. For this specific quest step, though, the Lobster Roll is the only meal that counts. Nothing else registers as his preferred meal, so don't waste ingredients testing other recipes.
The Lobster Roll is a five-star entrée. Every slot is locked to a named ingredient, which is unusual. Many recipes let you drop in any vegetable, fish, or spice, but this one does not. Each item has to be the exact one listed, or the dish turns into something else.
Lobster Roll ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley
| Ingredient | Notes |
|---|---|
| Lobster | The rarest seafood, caught from orange ripples in the Glade of Trust |
| Wheat | Grown from Wheat seeds bought at Goofy's stall |
| Lemon | Foraged from lemon trees around the valley |
| Butter | Bought from Remy's restaurant |
| Garlic | Foraged in the Forest of Valor |
You also need one piece of Coal Ore to run any stove, just like every other recipe. Lobster is the part that slows most players down. It only appears in the orange fishing rings in the Glade of Trust, and those rings are uncommon. To force them, craft Miracle Fishing Bait and attach it to your rod, then cast at the spot it marks.
How to cook the Lobster Roll
Step 1: Gather all five ingredients and at least one Coal Ore. Confirm you have Lobster specifically, since the recipe rejects any other seafood.
Step 2: Walk up to any cooking station. The starter stove in your house works, and so do the stoves at Remy's restaurant and Tiana's Palace.

Step 3: Drop the Lobster, Wheat, Lemon, Butter, and Garlic into the cooking pot, then start cooking. The result is a five-star Lobster Roll worth 1,900 Star Coins that restores 4,928 energy.
How to know it worked
When the five ingredients are correct, the stove produces a Lobster Roll by name rather than a generic seafood dish. If you cook at Remy's, he stays relaxed instead of looking worried, which signals the combination is valid. Hand that finished Lobster Roll to Pumbaa to clear the trial and push the Battle of the Coaches quest forward.
If the dish comes out wrong, the cause is almost always a swapped ingredient. Using a different seafood instead of Lobster, or skipping the Garlic, produces a separate recipe that the quest won't accept. Recheck the five exact items, cook again, and the Ravenous Boar's preferred meal will register.
