Apple’s iPhone devices have always been known for recording great slow motion videos. However, on the Android side of the world, slow-motion videos have taken a huge step forward by supporting up to 960 fps slo-mo recording in 1080p resolution.
The iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR, even with the new A12 Bionic Chip could only record slo-mo videos at 240 fps in 1080p resolution. This is terrible for a smartphone that costs up to $1449.
Anyway, for it’s worth, it’s safe to say that iPhone XS and iPhone XR offers one of the best slow-motion video recordings (at 240 fps) in the market. Let’s see how to record slo-mo videos on your new iPhone.
- Check Slo-mo fps setting
Before you start recording slow motion videos on your iPhone XS or iPhone XR, make sure the slow-motion recording settings are correctly set by going to Settings » Camera » tap Record Slo-mo and select the Slo-mo recording fps setting to either 240 fps or 120 fps, as per your requirement.
- Open the Camera app and tap SLO-MO
Open the camera app on your iPhone and tap SLO-MO on the left (or swipe twice to the left) to get to the slow-motion video recording screen.
- Tap the Red button to start shooting
Touch the red button to start recording slow motion videos on your iPhone XS and iPhone XR.
Cheers!
