Season 5 brings four playable Blue Lock strikers, the Aura Striker mode, and free rewards through October 23.

The Rematch x Blue Lock crossover is live now, arriving alongside Rematch Season 5 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It drops four of the anime’s most recognizable strikers onto Sloclap’s football pitch, adds a limited-time mode built around the series’ core idea of breaking your own limits, and hands out free cosmetics to everyone who logs in.

Quick answer: Season 5 runs through October 23, 2026. Play the new Aura Striker mode, claim the free Ego Boost Bundle and Event Pass by logging in, and buy the Isagi, Bachira, Nagi, or Rin bundles from the in-game shop.

Release date, platforms, and how long it lasts

The collaboration launched on September 24, 2026 and stays available for the length of Season 5, which ends on October 23. Everything is playable on PC (Steam and Epic), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with crossplay enabled between all three. Rematch itself sells for about $29.99 for the standard edition and is included in Xbox Game Pass during certain periods.

If you don’t own the game yet, you can pick it up on its Steam store page to jump into Season 5. A Fall sale is also running, with Rematch discounted up to 60% across platforms.

Aura Striker mode

The season’s main feature is Aura Striker, a temporary 3v3 mode inspired by Blue Lock’s push to exceed your limits. Your Aura meter fills as time passes and when you make interceptions. Activate it to temporarily raise your running speed and shot power; a well-timed burst can turn the match around in seconds.

Two rules change the pace. Stamina is unlimited, so you can stay in the action for the whole match without slowing down, and goalkeeping is handled automatically, keeping your focus on attacking and defending. With Aura ready to fire, every possession can decide the outcome.

The four playable Blue Lock characters

Four strikers from the first season of the anime headline the crossover. Each one comes as a premium bundle that includes a full character skin, a signature celebration, and a matching player card. There is also a combined bundle that packs all four together, plus a standalone Blue Lock Training Pack for players who want a smaller entry point.

As Blue Lock’s protagonist, Yoichi Isagi wears number 11 for Japan’s U-20 side and plays as a Bastard München striker in the Neo Egoist League. The bundles also include Japanese voice performances, with callouts heard during matches.

These are cosmetic skins. A disclaimer in the reveal states that skins are not applied to the Striker Lock, so the customization is visual and does not change how any player performs.

Free rewards and how to claim them

Everyone gets content without spending anything. The free Ego Boost Bundle includes a full set of cosmetics along with a player profile set, and a free Event Pass runs for the whole season.

  • Ego Boost Bundle: a full cosmetic set plus a player profile set.
  • The Event Pass offers profile customization items, a Blue Lock-themed ball, access to a VR arena, and additional rewards.
  • Progress by playing Aura Striker, Casual, or Ranked and completing challenges.

To confirm it worked, log in during Season 5 and the Ego Boost Bundle appears in your inventory. The Event Pass then tracks your challenge progress as you play, unlocking each reward tier as you clear its objectives.

Season 5 gameplay changes

Beyond the crossover cosmetics, Season 5 reworks several systems that carry into standard play. Goalkeeper dives now give players more control over choosing between short and long dives, and the update adds volley cancels, a stamina rework, and adjusted tackle interactions. A dedicated gameplay Dev Blog covers the full breakdown of these changes.

This season delivers the crossover the community had been hoping to see. Rematch puts each player in charge of one footballer and removes fouls, offside calls, and stoppages—a format that fits Blue Lock’s focus on individual reads and decisive shots. Aura Striker runs through October 23, giving you time to play the mode and claim the free rewards before the season ends.
