Ride A Pet: How to Get the Horse Pet From the Glass Egg

The Horse is the first pet in Ride A Pet that actually blocks progression. It is not sold in the Shop and it is not a reward you claim from a menu, so the only route to it is hatching the right egg enough times. Until you own one, Rebirth 1 stays locked no matter how much cash you bank.

Quick answer: Collect and hatch Glass Eggs, which spawn near the stone tower and the cliff ledges around your plot. Horse sits at 1 in 500K, so plan on a long run of repeat hatches.

Horse hatch odds and what the pet unlocks

The Horse comes out of the Glass Egg, the transparent egg type that is easy to walk straight past. Its rate is listed in the pet Index at 1 in 500K, which makes it a volume grind rather than a lucky single pull. The same egg also holds the Fox, the pet you need for Rebirth 2, so the eggs you crack chasing a Horse are not wasted effort.

Glass Eggs favour a fairly tight band of terrain rather than the whole map, which is what makes farming them practical. Keep your route inside the space between your base and the outer ring of rocks, and sweep it repeatedly instead of wandering.

The Glass Egg is translucent, so it blends into rock and grass. Slow down on ledges and check silhouettes against the skyline rather than relying on colour.

How to farm and hatch Glass Eggs

Mount your fastest current pet before you leave the plot. Travel speed is the real bottleneck here, because the Horse only appears through volume, and a faster mount means more eggs carried per minute.

Use Track to lock onto an egg and fall back on Radar only when the direction is ambiguous. Learn two or three landmarks on the tower and cliff loop so you can repeat the same circuit without thinking about it.

Check your Egg Basket before every pickup. Once the capacity display says you cannot safely add another egg, stop collecting and head home rather than overshooting the loop.

Carry the eggs back to My Plot and hatch them there. Inspect each result, then immediately start the next circuit, since the 1 in 500K rate rewards an uninterrupted loop far more than any single run.

Confirming the Horse and clearing Rebirth 1

You will know the hatch landed when the Horse appears as a new pet at your plot and fills its entry in the Index. From there you can mount it directly or place it in your ranch, and it stays valid for the Rebirth check either way.

Once you have the Horse and your cash reaches $1M, choose Rebirth on the left side of the screen and confirm. Before confirming, review the live panel to see what resets, because Rebirth removes your cash and any Luck purchased from the board inside your ranch.

Do not sell the Horse after Rebirth 1. The Rebirth chain checks a specific pet at every stage, and re-hatching a 1 in 500K pet later costs far more time than keeping it parked in a slot.

After that first Rebirth clears, the same Glass Egg loop keeps paying out, since the Fox needed for Rebirth 2 shares the egg. Keeping the tower and cliff circuit running while your multiplier climbs is the cleanest way to line up both pets without changing routes.
