Tix and XP in Forsaken come from two very different places. Tix are the Summer Games event currency used to unlock event tiers, and XP levels up whichever character you played that round. Both scale with how the round ends, which is why the same ten minutes of play can pay out double or half depending on the role you were assigned.
Quick answer: Win rounds as the Killer. A Killer win pays 160 Tix and 180 XP, roughly twice a Survivor win, and each Survivor you eliminate adds 45 XP on top. Clear the daily objectives in the Summer Games menu before anything else, since they carry the largest single Tix and XP boosts available.
Tix and XP payout values per action
Every payout in a match traces back to a small set of actions. Knowing the numbers makes the priority order obvious before the round even starts.
| Action | Tix | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Win a match as the Killer | 160 | 180 |
| Win a match as a Survivor | 80 | 100–120 |
| Eliminate one Survivor (as Killer) | — | 45 |
| Complete one generator repair stage | — | 15 |
| Complete a daily objective | Large boost | Large boost |
A full generator has four repair stages, so finishing one on your own is worth 60 XP. Splitting a generator with teammates finishes it faster but divides the reward, so you will not bank the full amount.

Add to Google Preferences →Getting picked as Killer, and closing the round out
You do not choose the Killer role directly. It goes to the player with the highest Malice, a stat you build by completing objectives while playing as a Survivor. If you want Killer rounds on rotation, treat your Survivor rounds as Malice generation and keep completing objectives instead of hiding out the timer.

You know the payout registered when the “The Killer won.” end screen appears, followed by the reward summary. If the round times out with Survivors alive, you keep any elimination XP but lose the win bonus entirely.
Daily objectives in the Summer Games menu
Daily objectives are the single largest source of Tix and XP outside of match wins, and they refresh on a rotation. Open the Summer Games menu from the lobby before queueing so you know which ones are active and can steer your round toward them.

Objectives are specific rather than generic. Examples include “Win 2 games in a row” and “Kill 5 of your own zombies”, so some of them are only completable in a Killer round. Check the list first, then decide whether to push for Malice or simply queue and play the role you get.
Survivor XP: Generators and character ability triggers
When you are not the Killer, generators are the steady baseline and character abilities are the multiplier. Most Survivors have at least one action that pays extra XP when it lands correctly, so playing a character with an unfinished ability trigger is worth more than playing your favourite one.
| Character | XP trigger |
|---|---|
| Noob | Let the Slateskin Potion effect expire naturally; running long distances with Bloxy Cola |
| 007n7 | The Killer attacks your decoy clone instead of you |
| Guest 1337 | Blocking or stunning the Killer |
| Shedletsky | Blocking, stunning, or landing Slash hits on the Killer |
| Elliot | Healing teammates with Pizza Throw |
| Chance | Damaging the Killer with One-Shot |
| Two Time | Backstabs and reaching max obliteration |
| Taph | Tripping the Killer with Trip Wire or a triggered subspace tripmine |
| Builderman | The Killer destroys your sentry or dispenser |
Surviving to the end of the round is worth more than any single objective, so treat repairs as something you do when the Killer is confirmed elsewhere. Locking yourself into a repair mini-game with the Killer nearby trades a 15 XP stage for the entire win bonus.

One thing worth knowing before you commit to a grind. XP is tracked per character, not per account, so levelling one Survivor does nothing for the rest of your roster. There is also no idle or offline XP gain.
Reading the lobby and server hopping for easier matches
Because the largest payouts are attached to wins, the lobby you land in matters as much as how you play. Player profiles in the lobby show stats including total time played, so a quick scan tells you whether you are queueing against people with hundreds of hours logged.
XP boosts and multipliers
Multipliers stack on top of everything above but do not change the underlying payout structure, so only lean on them if you already own them.
| Boost | Effect |
|---|---|
| VIP game pass | 1.25x EXP on earned experience |
| Friend bonus | Up to 20% extra EXP when playing with friends |
| EXP boost item | Timed multiplier lasting 3 hours |
Tip: Start a timed boost only when you are settled into a good server and plan to play several rounds back to back. Burning it while server hopping wastes most of the window.
Spending Tix on Summer Games tiers
Tix are not locked into a sequential track. You do not have to buy every tier in order to reach a reward further down the list, so you can save up and unlock only the specific tiers you want. That matters if a single cosmetic is your goal, since spending on filler tiers along the way is optional.
The Tix Shop also sells currency bundles directly for players who do not want to grind the full amount.
| Bundle | Cost |
|---|---|
| +800 Tix | 80 |
| +4,000 Tix | 320 |
| +26,000 Tix | 1,600 |
Why your Tix and XP come up short
A handful of specific situations account for most missing rewards.
- You died before the round ended. Elimination and repair XP still counts, but the win payout of 80 Tix or 160 Tix does not.
- A Survivor died to damage over time. Kills that finish through lingering damage rather than a direct hit may not credit the 45 XP, so land the final hit yourself.
- You shared a generator. Repair rewards split between everyone working on it, so your share of each stage drops.
- You levelled the wrong character. XP only applies to the character you played that round, not your account or the rest of your roster.
The most efficient loop is short and repeatable. Check the daily objectives, scan the lobby and hop if the competition looks stacked, build Malice as a Survivor so the Killer slot rotates to you, then close the round out fast. Everything else is incremental on top of that.
