Every goal, assist, and bonus tag in Illegal Soccer, with exact point values and the inputs that trigger them.

Illegal Soccer keeps the ball, the net, and the timer from real soccer, then removes the referee and hands everyone guns, grappling hooks, and oil spills. Underneath the chaos there is a very ordinary scoring system, and it pays extra for how you finish, not just whether the ball goes in. A tap-in and a half-field volley are worth different amounts, and the game tells you which one you hit the moment it crosses the line.

Quick answer: A standard Goal is worth +100 and a Long Goal is worth +125. Bonus tags such as Volley, Tackle, Direct Hit, and Dodge stack on top for +10 to +15 each.

Illegal Soccer point values for goals, assists, and bonus tags

Points land in two parts. The main award covers the goal or the assist, and a smaller tag describes the action that set it up. You can collect both from a single play, which is why one shot often flashes two lines of text on screen.

AwardPointsTrigger
Long Goal!+125Scoring from distance
Last-Minute Assist!+125Assist late in the match
Goal!+100Any standard finish
Assist+75Final pass before a teammate scores
Through Ball+25Pass played in behind the defense
Volley+15Striking the ball while it is loose in the air
Tackle+15Winning the ball before the play
Pass+15Completing a pass in the buildup
Direct Hit+10Clean, unblocked strike into the net
Dodge+10Beating a tackle attempt during the play

The pairings are predictable. A loose ball smashed in from range reads as Long Goal plus Volley, a steal converted into a shot reads as Goal plus Tackle, and a defensive clearance that finds a striker reads as Assist plus Pass. Two tags on one play is the normal ceiling.

Controls that produce each scoring tag

Every bonus traces back to a specific input, so the tags are less mysterious than they look. The on-screen prompt bar lists Kick, Pass, Flick, Tackle, Lob, and Request while you play, which is the same set the tutorial walks you through.

E does double duty. It requests the ball when a teammate has it and slides into a tackle when they do not, so the same key feeds both the Tackle bonus and your passing chains.

How to trigger a Long Goal and stack a Volley

The highest-value repeatable play in the game is a long-range strike on a ball nobody has picked up yet. Because possession transfers on touch, a ball bouncing loose in midfield is the cleanest volley setup there is.

Read the loose ball early. Instead of chasing the carrier, run toward open space where a cleared or deflected ball will land, keeping the goal in front of you.
Strike it while it is still traveling. Left-clicking as you arrive on a moving ball is what registers the Volley tag, and holding your distance from the box is what turns a plain Goal into a Long Goal.
Aim at the far post, high. The top corner away from the keeper is the hardest angle for the goalkeeper system to cover, and it is the same target that works against the AI keeper in the Practice Area.

Restarts are their own opportunity. After a goal, the round resets with a short countdown, and pressing E repeatedly as it hits zero can steal the ball straight off the kickoff.

Assist scoring: Pass, Through Ball, and Last-Minute Assist

Assists are worth chasing because the tags stack the same way finishes do. A normal Assist pays +75, and the pass itself adds +15 as Pass or +25 as a Through Ball if it slips a defender. Late in a match, the assist upgrades to Last-Minute Assist at +125, matching a Long Goal.

Defensive work feeds into this directly. Clearing the ball off your own goal line and immediately playing it forward counts as the buildup, so the clearance, the pass, and the teammate’s finish all pay you. Open the Settings menu and turn on Assisted Passes, which locks your pass onto a teammate instead of firing it into empty pitch.

Opponents can block the lane with barricades and oil spills, and a barricade dropped across your shooting angle will eat the strike. Passing around the obstacle is usually faster than shooting through it.

Scoring from the goalkeeper slot

Starting a round as goalkeeper does not lock you out of the scoreboard. While you are inside the penalty box you play under keeper controls, and the moment you run out of the box you get normal outfield movement back. From there you are a regular player and can win a scramble and volley the ball in for the full Goal plus Volley award.

Post-match titles track this kind of play separately, with awards like MVP, Striker, Guardian Angel, and Safe Hands appearing on the summary screen alongside the final score.

How to confirm the bonus registered

You never have to guess whether a tag landed. When the ball crosses the line, the award text and its point value print on screen, one line per bonus, so a long-range volley shows “Long Goal!” with +125 and “Volley” with +15 together. The scoreboard updates at the same time.

A slow-motion replay of the goal plays immediately afterward from a camera angle behind the play, and during that window you can fire off a celebration emote. Once the replay ends, the round resets with the new score. Coins are paid out after the match and spend in the Daily Shop on cosmetics and boosts.

Practicing the shot before you queue

The Practice Area lets you rehearse the exact finishes that pay the most, against an AI goalkeeper and without anyone shooting at you. It is also where you can test power-up cubes, Forcefield, and the Rocket Punch move without costing your team a goal. Servers hold up to eight players and matches are free to join.

One habit carries most of the value here: keep your distance from the box when the ball comes loose. The difference between a tap-in and a long volley is 40 points on a single play, and across a full match that gap decides the accolades far more often than the number of goals does.
