Roblox Sell Ores: Full Guide to Earning Money From Ores

How rolling, tunnels, drill upgrades, mutation coatings, and Lucky Blocks fit together in the Roblox incremental simulator Sell Ores.

How rolling, tunnels, drill upgrades, mutation coatings, and Lucky Blocks fit together in the Roblox incremental simulator Sell Ores.

Sell Ores is an incremental simulator on Roblox built by The Ore Drillers, and its economy is simpler than the wall of menus suggests. You pull a lever, gamble on an ore, drop that ore into a tunnel, and let a drone grind it into crates you can sell. Everything else — luck upgrades, mutation coatings, pets, time skips — exists to make that one loop pay out faster.

Quick answer: Roll an ore at the Roll Ores lever, buy it, place it in a tunnel, wait for the drone to drill, then carry each crate to the Sell Ores NPC for cash.

How the Sell Ores money loop works

Talk to the Sell Ores NPC at spawn to start the tutorial, then follow the white arrows on the ground to the Roll Ores lever. Your first pull almost always lands on Stone Ore, which costs nothing to claim.
Buy your first tunnel. The opening tunnel is marked FREE, and later ones cost money — the second runs $100. Each floor of the mine holds seven mining compartments and its own drilling drone.

Walk into the tunnel and place the ore on a highlighted compartment. A yellow drone flies in on its own and starts drilling — you do not need to trigger it.
Pick up the wooden crate the drone leaves at the collection point. Crates do not sell themselves at the start, so you have to carry each one out.
Hand the crate to the Sell Ores NPC. A first sale off a fresh Stone Ore pays roughly $66, which is enough to begin feeding the upgrade board.

Your base keeps producing while you are away, and the game does not kick you for being idle, so time spent setting up compartments converts into offline earnings when you come back.

Ore levels and why income per minute matters more than sell price

Once an ore is sitting in a tunnel, you can select it and buy Ore Level upgrades. The number that matters is the income rate printed on the panel, not the one-off crate value. Stone Ore starts at $660 / min at Level 1, climbs to $880 / min at Level 2, and reaches $1,100 / min by Level 4. The first upgrade is handed to you free during the tutorial.

Because every compartment earns independently, empty slots are pure lost income. Filling all seven slots on a floor with cheap, leveled ores beats hoarding cash while you wait for a rare roll.

Rolling ores, rarity odds, and when to skip a roll

Every pull of the lever shows one ore with a rarity tier, a drop chance, and a purchase price. You are not forced to buy what you roll. There are 81 ores to collect in total, and the Index tracks how many you have unlocked.

OreRarityOddsCost
Stone OreCommon1 in 3$0
Copper OreCommon1 in 4$500
Seastone OreCommon1 in 26$550
Zinc OreUncommon1 in 85$5,000

Rarity and price do not scale together neatly. Seastone Ore is a 1 in 26 roll for $550, while Zinc Ore is a 1 in 85 roll that asks $5,000 up front — a purchase that can drain an early bankroll for a single compartment. In the first hour, the cheap commons that let you fill several slots at once usually out-earn one expensive uncommon.

The Index menu splits your collection into Ores, Mutations, and Pets, and it updates the moment a new ore is placed. It is the fastest way to confirm a purchase actually registered.

Upgrade board priorities: drill yield, drill speed, ore regen, and ore luck

Upgrade boards sit around the base and each one targets a different part of the loop.

  • Drill Yield — raises the money each drilled ore produces. The most direct payoff early.
  • Drill Speed — shortens the time a drone spends on each ore.
  • Ore Regen Speed — refreshes ores faster so compartments are not idle.
  • Upgrade Ore Luck — improves your odds of rolling rarer ores at the lever.
  • Rolling Pedestals — adds roll capacity so you can hold more results at once.

Yield and regen compound with every ore you own, so buying them before chasing a single expensive rare tends to move your per-minute number more.

Gear Shop prices: Growth Gems and mutation coatings

The Gear Shop sits in the middle of the map and sells two kinds of items. Growth Gems are timed regeneration boosts, while Coatings permanently stamp a mutation multiplier onto an ore.

ItemCostEffect
Small Growth Gem$500,0002x ore regen, 5 minutes
Ore Cleanser$1,000,000Removes a mutation
Rust Coating$10,000,000Rusty mutation (x1.5)
Large Growth Gem$50,000,0004x ore regen, 10 minutes
Frost Coating$750MFrozen mutation (x1.75)
Crystal Coating$1BCrystal mutation (x2)
Void Coating$10BVoid mutation (x2.25)
Super Growth Gem$15B6x ore regen, 15 minutes
Alien Coating$100BAlien mutation (x3.25)
Galaxy Coating$1TGalaxy mutation (x5)
Devil’s Growth Gem$25T12x ore regen, 15 minutes

Growth Gems burn on a timer whether or not your base is worth boosting, so activate one only when your compartments are full of leveled ores. The Ore Cleanser exists for the moment you stack a weak mutation on an ore you later want to coat properly.

Pet Shop Lucky Blocks and hatch rates

Pets come from Lucky Blocks sold near the Gear Shop, bought with cash or Robux. Every Lucky Block uses the same five-slot rate spread — 50%, 25%, 15%, 8%, and 2% — with the pets listed below in that order from most to least likely.

Daily rewards and working Sell Ores codes

The base carries a 31 Daily Rewards track that hands out cash, time skips, crystals, and rare ores. Day 1 pays $500, which is enough to buy a second ore on your opening session.

Codes are redeemed through the settings menu. Open Sell Ores on Roblox, click the cog button in the top right, type a code into the box at the bottom of the menu, and press Redeem. Time skips activate the moment they are redeemed, so use them when your base is already producing.

How to tell your setup is working

Three confirmations tell you the loop is running properly. A drone appears and starts drilling within seconds of an ore being placed, the ore panel inside the tunnel shows a rising income-per-minute figure after each level purchase, and the Index ore counter ticks up when a new ore type is added. If crates are piling up at the collection point and your cash total is flat, the crates simply have not been carried to the Sell Ores NPC yet.

Seasonal events layer on top of all this — a Blizzard Event can kick in mid-session without changing the underlying loop. The rhythm stays the same either way: roll, place, drill, sell, and push the money straight back into yield and regen before it sits idle in your wallet.
