The demon route in Slayers 2 is gated behind one number and one clock. You need a deeply negative reputation before Muzan will even acknowledge you, and he only appears at night. Everything after that is a single quest chain that ends with a flask of blood and a permanent change to your character.
Quick answer: Drop your reputation to -40 by killing Slayers, find Muzan in a village at night, take his Biwa Bell, complete the Spider Lily and Dr. Higoshima quest, then drink Muzan’s Blood.
Requirements before you start the demon quest
You do not need a high level to become a demon, but you do need a few things in place or the quest will stall halfway through.
- -40 reputation, the threshold that makes Muzan’s transformation option appear.
- A server that is currently at night, or the patience to wait for one.
- Double Jump and Wall Climb unlocked in the Skill Tree for the mountain route to Dr. Higoshima.
- Enough combat ability to kill several Slayers, since they hit back and will swarm you later in the quest.
Some early quest progress helps too. Krue’s bandit boss quest, for example, is locked until Level 7, and clearing mini-bosses like Zuko builds up the levels and gear you will want when Mizunoto slayers start chasing you.

Reputation drops when you attack the wrong people, and not all targets are worth the same. Civilians are the obvious choice and the slowest one. Slayers are the efficient target.
| Target | Reputation per kill | Kills to -40 |
|---|---|---|
| Civilians | -1 | 40 |
| Slayers | Around -9 | 5 |
Slayers patrol near the Butterfly Estate, which you can reach from Seasons Crossing, and around Mistfall Harbor. Kill roughly five of them and you clear the requirement in a couple of minutes instead of grinding through a village.
Overshooting slightly is harmless. Running to about -45 gives you a buffer in case a kill registers differently than expected.
Where Muzan spawns and how to find him at night
Muzan only appears after dark, and he rotates between a small set of villages. Open the map and check these three spots first.
| Spawn location | Where it is |
|---|---|
| Mistfall Harbor | Bottom-right of the map, near the beginner village |
| Hidden Mist Village | Inside the mist area, reached by dropping down into it |
| Iceveil Valley | The snow region village |

Mistfall Harbor is the most convenient of the three because of how close it sits to the starting area. If he is not there, zoom around the map and sweep the other villages and nearby landmarks before giving up on the server.

Server hopping is the usual shortcut to a night server, but it is not reliable. If hopping keeps landing you in daylight, pick one server, play through the day, and Muzan can spawn the moment night returns.
Muzan’s quest: Biwa Bell, Spider Lilies and Dr. Higoshima
Talking to Muzan with enough negative reputation starts the chain. The quest has two objectives that run in parallel, so you can work on both in the same night.
Spider Lilies 0/9 and Deliver Dr. Higoshima 0/1.

Dying during the quest can cost you progress, so run the delivery leg with health to spare rather than clearing every enemy on the way.
Drink Muzan’s Blood and confirm the Demon title
Finishing both objectives puts Muzan’s Blood x1 in your inventory. It is a Common item listed in the Archives with the source Quest: Muzan Quest, described as a sealed flask meant for humans that locks the body and remakes it as a demon.
Use the flask and drink it. A red and green transformation effect plays, your skin tone changes, and the Demon title unlocks. That visual is your confirmation that the chain is complete.
To verify it properly, press the menu key, open Inventory, then Archives, and search for “DEMON” in the Titles tab. The entry should read as below.

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Title | Demon (Common) |
| Requirement | Drink Muzan’s blood and become a demon |
| Buffs | +10 Max Health, 1.01x Evil Art Damage Factor |
| Passive | +5 Max Health |
Sun immunity: Get the Black Amigasa before daybreak
Daylight burns demons and will kill you if you stand in it. Certain clans grant sun immunity outright, but if yours does not, the beginner fix is the Black Amigasa, a hat that blocks sun damage and nothing else.
Better headwear exists later, including the Akatsuki Straw Hat, Flame Amigasa, Straw Fringe Hat and Heavenly Crown, which combine sun protection with actual stat bonuses. The Amigasa is the stopgap that keeps you alive through your first few in-game days.
What to do next: Blood Demon Art and demon progression
Once you are a demon, the Biwa Bell becomes your shortcut back to Muzan’s Lair to roll a Blood Demon Art. Rolls cost three spins each and can be paid for with spins or Ore, so there is no need to spend Robux. Orbs also drop from bosses and chests around the map, including luck chests.
Using an orb starts a core training quest for that art. Obi Manipulation, for example, runs a Core Training 0/4 chain covering barbell squats, Boulder Push, Boulder Split, and killing Mizunoto enemies. Finish it and the art is yours. Dying mid-quest can wipe that progress, so treat the training run seriously.
Skills come from the art’s Skill Tree, paid for with skill points and mastery. Mastery builds by using the art in combat. Some arts work with fists, while others need a specific weapon, and Blood Manipulation in particular requires a sickle that does not drop until around Level 52.

Demon Progress is the demon equivalent of the Slayer gourd system, and you can track it by pressing M, opening Player Info, then Progression. It fills with souls dropped by defeated NPCs: Weak Souls from low-level enemies, Strong Souls from mid-tier ones, and Brave Souls worth +25 progress from Hashira-class fights. Killing other demons gives nothing, so keep your targets human as you climb toward the higher progression levels and their permanent buffs.
