Almost every trick in Steal An Egg works around one rule: when night ends, the map refreshes every egg and drags all players back to the starting line. Lose that race and you spend the next cycle jogging through Forest, Desert, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, and Cosmic again while someone faster grabs the secret egg. The glitches below either protect your position, buy you speed, or remove the competition entirely.
Quick answer: Turn off Wi-Fi roughly five seconds before the night countdown hits zero, then reconnect once the ALL EGG RESET! banner clears. You keep your spot instead of being teleported back to spawn.
How the night reset teleport works
The map runs on a day/night cycle. When night ends, the game fires an egg reset across every biome and returns players to the safe zone at the same time. Anyone deep in the Cosmic or Titan Temple stretch loses all that ground instantly, which is why the far biomes feel impossible to hold.
The teleport is a server instruction your client has to receive. If the client is briefly offline while that instruction goes out, it never processes the move, and you are still standing where you were when you reconnect. That single gap is what the following trick exploits.
Wi-Fi reset skip: hold your position through the night cycle
This works the same way on PC and mobile. The whole trick is a short, controlled disconnect timed against the countdown in the corner of the screen.
The usable offline window is roughly four to five seconds. Stay disconnected longer and Roblox drops you with Error Code 277 instead, costing you the server entirely.
Where to stand before the reset
Timing only pays off if you are parked somewhere useful. The strongest spot sits on the boundary between Abyss Ocean and Prehistoric, because secret eggs land within a few seconds of sprinting the moment the map refreshes. Everyone else is still climbing out of the safe zone while you are already reaching for the nest.
One widely repeated variant does not work: jumping sideways into the Prehistoric wall during the countdown still teleports you back. Only the disconnect reliably keeps your position.
Map exit glitch: spawn in the middle of the map
Interior areas like the Whale in Abyss Ocean and the waterfall behind Titan Temple use their own exit placement. If you leave one at the exact moment Dr. Scramble’s experiment spawns, the game drops you back into that biome rather than the starting area.
That head start is usually enough to claim a giant egg before anyone reaches the zone, including announced spawns like an Eternal Ice Dragon Egg in Snow or a Secret Kraken Egg in Abyss Ocean.
Wall bounce speed glitch
Running flat out along a lane wall and repeatedly clipping into it stacks momentum well past your purchased speed stat. First, open Roblox settings and switch Shift Lock off — with it enabled, your character will not angle into the wall correctly.
From there, run tight against a side wall and bounce left and right off it in a steady rhythm. The screen shakes on each successful bounce, and hitting the next bounce right on that shake is what compounds the boost. Done well, you outrun the biome bosses on foot and can carry a giant egg home without ever being caught.

Boss glitches for stealing giant eggs
Every nest has a guardian that chases and flings you the moment you take an egg. Their pathfinding breaks in predictable places, and three separate methods exploit it.
Hug the gates and edge walls
At the Titan Temple and Angels gates, running along the perimeter walls confuses the boss’s route. It stalls, swings at empty space, or circles the wrong side of the wall. Circling a boss like the Titan gorilla in tight loops has the same effect and buys enough time to grab a giant egg and sprint for the safe zone.
Some older stall spots have been closed off. The area behind Titan Temple was shrunk specifically to stop this, so stick to the gate walls and the waterfall route.
Waterfall freeze in Angels and Demons
Behind the large waterfall in the Angels biome sits a hidden Divine Fusion and Eternal Fusion room. Steal an egg, run straight through the waterfall into that room, then either reset your character or leave the area. The boss is left permanently stuck, and the rest of your run back is uncontested. The Demons lava waterfall hides a comparable temple platform.
Drop the egg to reset aggro
If your speed is too low to outrun a guardian, put the egg down. Dropping it cancels the boss’s fling attempt; pick it back up once the boss disengages and repeat as needed along the track. It is slow, but it gets high-tier eggs home on a weak build.
A connection drop also applies here. Steal an egg from a sleeping boss, cut the internet, run to base, then reconnect, and that boss stays asleep for your later steals.
Disconnect duplication for eggs, pets, and samples
The same offline window used for the reset skip also splits actions from their cost elsewhere in the game. The pattern is always the same: commit the action, drop the connection immediately, then rejoin.
- Place an egg in your pen or collect offline earnings, then disconnect and rejoin to keep both copies.
- Start a combine in The Rift with the required pets, disconnect, and reconnect to get the pets back.
- Fight the Dr. Scramble Experiment down to 1/3 HP, disconnect before the kill, then reconnect for duplicated samples and drone parts.
- Feed a parasite egg to The Hungry Monster, disconnect, and rejoin with the meter progress and the egg intact.
Rerolling the Monster Chest
Eggs carrying a purple parasite marker can be handed to The Hungry Monster instead of hatched. Fill its gauge to 100% and it spits out a Monster Chest containing speed boosts, the Fly Swatter, or a Monstrous Mutation. Leave the game the moment the chest appears and you can try the roll again rather than accepting a 1.25x Speed.
Farming rare eggs on a near-empty server
Steal An Egg offers no official private servers, while public lobbies contain players with speed stats that can make secret eggs vanish on contact. Two methods provide a quieter run.
Method 1: Sort by fewest players
Once inside, check the player list. If someone there has a high speed stat, hop again; otherwise you can work through spawns like a Secret Kraken Egg or a Secret Cerberus Egg at your own pace.
Method 2: Fill the server with alt accounts
There is also a faster rotation that needs no setup at all: steal a high-tier egg, deposit it at base, leave immediately, and join a fresh server for the next spawn. Repeated over a couple of hours it builds a serious pet collection.
Fuse Machine, trails, and bat knockback
A few systems are widely misread, and knowing what they really do saves you from wasting pets and boosts. The Fuse Machine takes three matching pets and raises your Luck percentage for the resulting egg — it does not guarantee a heavier pet. Fusing three La Vacca Saturno Saturnita around 20 kg can still hatch into something far larger or smaller, because weight is rolled, not carried over.
Trails matter more than they look. The Moonbloom Trail’s speed multiplier is bugged and delivers noticeably less than the standard Divine Trail, so leave it unequipped until it is fixed.
Bats unlocked through the Pet Index are the main way to shove rivals off an egg, and they are not equal.

You hold the Abyss Ocean to Prehistoric line through the reset, bounce off a wall to outpace whatever is guarding the nest, stall the boss at a gate, and cash out on a server with nobody in it. Patches land regularly, so expect individual spots to close — the disconnect timing window and the server browser have proven the most durable.
