The night trap rumour also does not hold up. The claim is that standing on a trap while holding a stolen egg just before nightfall blocks the automatic teleport to the safe zone. Because players cannot trigger their own traps, testing it requires a second account to place one — and the player is still teleported when night begins. Why trading and gifting are disabled in Steal An Egg

If you genuinely end up with copies of the same pet, the Fuse Machine is the sanctioned way to convert them. Bring three copies of one pet from your base, load them into the machine’s slots, and hit Fuse.
