Traits are permanent stat modifiers that attach to a single anime unit in Roll Anime to Fight, shifting its damage, health, critical chance, critical damage, attack speed, and Gold income. There are 17 Traits in total, and the ones with the lowest roll chances hand out the biggest boosts, plus a couple of special passives like reviving after death. The ranking below sorts every Trait so you know which rolls to lock in and which to spend Shards replacing.
Quick answer: Keep Cursed, Viking, Superior, or Ghost the moment they roll. They are the four S-tier Traits and are worth far more than anything you would gain by rerolling.

These four stack multiple large bonuses at once, which is why they anchor any serious defender. Cursed is the all-rounder, piling a +400% damage boost onto extra health, Gold, and crit stats. Viking trades a little of that raw damage for a massive +750% health pool, making it the pick for units you need to survive late waves. Superior is the cleanest pure DPS option, and Ghost is the outlier because it revives a fallen unit at 80% of its stats, which can save a run outright.
| Trait | Effects |
|---|---|
| Cursed | +400% DMG, +200% HP, -25% SPD, +65% Gold, +50% Crit Chance, +100% Crit DMG |
| Viking | +200% DMG, +750% HP, -25% SPD, +50% Crit Chance, +150% Crit DMG |
| Superior | +200% DMG, +100% HP, -20% SPD, +40% Crit Chance, +65% Crit DMG |
| Ghost | +100% DMG, +100% HP, resurrect on death with 80% stats |
A tier: strong picks for Epic and Legendary units
A-tier Traits are the right home for mid-rarity units while you chase an S roll. Reaper leads the group for damage builds with a +90% damage boost and solid crit lines. Cloner is the odd one out, offering modest stats but summoning two units instead of one, which effectively doubles a slot. If you want Gold income, Entrepreneur and Royal both add coin earnings on top of usable combat stats.
| Trait | Effects |
|---|---|
| Reaper | +90% DMG, +35% HP, -16% SPD, +35% Crit Chance, +45% Crit DMG |
| Lethal | +35% DMG, +30% Crit Chance, +40% Crit DMG |
| Cloner | +40% DMG, +60% HP, summon 2 animes instead of 1 |
| Entrepreneur | +45% DMG, +25% HP, -10% SPD, +65% Gold |
| Royal | +25% DMG, +15% HP, +25% Gold |

B tier: fine for clearing the first 100 waves
These Traits roll far more often, so you will see them early and regularly. Their bonuses are enough to push through the opening stretch of enemy waves, but they stop mattering much once enemy health scales up. Juggernaut gives the most balanced raw stats here, while Deadeye is a strong crit-only option if your unit already hits hard.
| Trait | Effects |
|---|---|
| Juggernaut | +50% DMG, +35% HP, +10% SPD |
| Deadeye | +35% Crit Chance, +45% Crit DMG |
| Powerful | +20% DMG, +10% HP |
| Deadly | +15% Crit Chance, +30% Crit DMG |
| Sharp | +10% Crit Chance, +25% Crit DMG |
C tier: reroll these when you can
C-tier Traits touch a single stat and add very little. Treat them as placeholders and roll them away once you have Shards to spare.
| Trait | Effects |
|---|---|
| Rush | -15% SPD |
| Strong | +10% DMG |
| Swift | -10% SPD |
How to reroll Traits and improve your odds
Every Trait reroll costs one Trait Shard, spent at the Trait Machine. You earn Shards by killing enemies, leveling up the Season Pass, and redeeming codes. There is currently no upgrade or feature that improves the chance of landing a specific Trait, so pulling an S-tier result comes down to luck and volume of Shards.
Expect a long grind for the top Traits. Cursed, which carries the best damage bonus in the game, has just a 0.2% roll chance, and the other S-tier Traits sit at similarly low odds. Reaching one of them can take hundreds of Shards.
Tip: When a roll returns an S-tier Trait, stop rerolling that unit. Because the machine cannot be biased toward a result, a lucky pull can be extremely hard to recreate.
This ranking weighs the size and breadth of each Trait’s stat bonuses, its special passive value, and how useful those effects stay as enemy waves scale. Rankings reflect the current August 2026 Trait pool, and any changes to Trait effects or new additions would shift the placements above.
