Guild Keys are the gatekeeping item for the Sea 2 guild system in Sailor Piece. You need one to start your own guild at the Guild Master NPC, and the drop is rare enough that most players farm Sea 2 mobs for hours before seeing one.

Where Guild Keys drop
Guild Keys drop from NPCs in Sea 2. The drop rate is not published, but it sits below Aura Crate rarity, putting it in the "secret item" tier. Both standard mob waves and bosses can drop the key, so pure mob grinding is viable if you can clear waves quickly.
You must unlock Sea 2 before any of this matters. Keys do not drop in the starting sea, and higher-level enemies in Sea 2 are the only confirmed source outside of player trading.
| Location | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Punch Island | Dense mob spawns, easy to AFK or AOE farm |
| Bizarre Island | Higher-level NPCs, good drop pool for secret items |
| Sea 2 bosses | Possible drop source alongside other rare loot |

Stats that actually matter for farming
Two things determine how fast you get a key: how quickly you can clear Sea 2 mobs, and how much luck you carry into each fight. Sea 2 enemies have built-in damage reduction, so underpowered builds stall out long before luck matters.
Aim for at least 500% total damage before committing to a grind. Anything lower and you'll spend more time chipping HP bars than triggering loot rolls.
For luck, stack the sources that compound:
- Luck-focused titles from boss kills and other milestones
- The Radiant Rune from Infinite Tower runs
- Clan and race picks that roll luck or drop-chance modifiers
- Skill tree nodes and stat rerolls that favor luck
Luck raises your odds. It does not guarantee a drop, and no amount of luck makes the key a reliable pull per kill.

Trading as a backup
Guild Keys are tradable. Because the item is classified as secret, expect heavy asks from other players, usually bundles of mid-to-high-tier items rather than a single equivalent trade. It's a faster path if you already have stock to offer, but most solo players will farm it out.
Creating a guild once you have the key
The Guild Master sits on Punch Island, near the center where the main roads converge. That same area is where the Cosmic Being boss spawns. The Guild Master is on the right side of that spawn zone.
Step 1: Teleport to Punch Island through any Sea 2 portal. Walk to the central intersection.
Step 2: Find the Guild Master NPC to the right of the Cosmic Being boss area and press E to interact.

Step 3: Enter a guild name (up to 50 characters) and paste a Roblox decal ID for the guild icon.
Step 4: Click Create Guild. This consumes 1 Guild Key.

Requirements at a glance
| Requirement | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum level | 10,000 |
| Guild Keys needed | 1 |
| Sea access | Sea 2 unlocked |
| Location | Guild Master, Punch Island |
| Guild name limit | 50 characters |
| Guild icon | Roblox decal ID (rbxassetid) |
Joining someone else's guild instead
If you don't want to farm the key, joining an existing guild costs nothing. Open the Guilds menu, enter a guild ID, and hit Search. Send a join request, and the guild admin accepts it. Invites from other players also land in the Invites Index, where you can accept them directly.
Guild competition is tied to a points-based leaderboard covering the top 100 guilds. Rewards scale with placement, and the Rewards tab inside the Guilds menu shows what each tier unlocks.
Common reasons the key doesn't show up
Two things usually explain a dry grind. You might still be in Sea 1, where the key doesn't drop. Or your damage is too low to clear Sea 2 waves fast enough for luck to matter. Fix the damage first, stack luck second, and pick a dense spawn like Punch Island to maximize kills per minute.
