How to pick a team, smuggle goods across the border, and earn money fast as a Civilian or Police.

San Diego Border Roleplay drops you into a California checkpoint world where you either keep order or cause chaos. You pick a team, spawn a vehicle, and work toward money and rank by completing your role’s objectives. The starting choice matters most, because Civilian, Border Patrol, and Police each play differently and chase money in completely different ways.

Quick answer: Join San Diego Border Roleplay, then pick a free team. As a Civilian, buy cheap goods from the Black Market, cross the border, and sell them to the Smuggled Goods Seller NPC for profit. As Police, search apartment buildings for money printers and confiscate them.

Choosing a team in San Diego Border Roleplay

There are seven roles in total, but only three can be played without spending Robux. Your team decides the rest of your session, so pick based on whether you want to break the rules or enforce them. Each role levels up as you complete objectives, unlocking new benefits and challenges as your rank climbs.

How smuggling works and what to buy

Smuggling is the core money loop for a Civilian. You buy goods cheaply from the Black Market, carry them across the border, and sell them to the Smuggled Goods Seller NPC for a much larger amount. The Goods Market sits on the right side as soon as you spawn.

Every item has its own price and a detection percentage. That percentage decides how likely you are to get caught during a border scan, so higher-value goods usually come with more risk.

Crate of Avocado$15010%
Wagyu Beef$35020%
Witches Brew$50060%
Fake Designer Sneakers$70035%
Fake Diamond Ring$1,00045%

Once you choose your goods, walk to the tablets next to the parking lot at spawn and summon a vehicle. Early on, the starter car keeps you looking less suspicious at the checkpoint, so lean on it and smuggle as much as you can while the risk is low.

Crossing the border, two ways

To reach the other side, spawn a vehicle at the spawn point, get on the main road, and drive straight toward the border. Your car automatically slows as you approach, so there is no way to ram through the crossing gate.

If few players are on the Border Patrol team, you have a good chance of passing untouched. More often you will be pulled aside for a scan, and this is where your goods’ detection percentage matters. There is always a chance the scan clears you, which is the best outcome. Fail it, and the Border Patrol crew tasers you, which counts as a mission failure and respawns you back at the start.

The second option is the aggressive one. Buy weapons from the Weapon Shop next to the Black Market Goods Shop at spawn, then drive to the border ready to fight. When the crossing gates stop you, exit the vehicle, defeat every Border Patrol player, then punch your car forward until it clears the barrier enough to drive past.

Note: Once you force your way across, players on the Police team will chase you for the crime. Bringing other Civilians or friends makes both the crossing and the chase far easier to survive.

Earning money as a Civilian

Civilians have several income routes, and each one trades safety for a bigger payout. Smuggling the highest-value Black Market goods is the most straightforward. Beyond that, you can escalate into robbery when you have the gear for it.

Bank you can rob in San Diego Border Roleplay
  • Smuggle goods. Buy the most valuable Black Market items and sell them across the border for profit.
  • Rob houses. Break into other players’ homes and crack their safes. You need a crowbar to open a safe, plus weapons and ammo to defend yourself, since another player can catch you or beat you to the loot.
  • Rob a bank. The hardest and most rewarding option. Banks sit across the border, so you have to clear Border Patrol on the way in and evade Police on the way out. Bring a team.

Earning money as Police

Playing Police flips the money loop into enforcement. Your best income comes from finding and confiscating the money printers that Civilians hide inside apartment buildings.

Investigate apartment buildings and search through them carefully. Printers give themselves away through the specific sound they make, so listen closely as you move from room to room.
Before entering an apartment, check whether that player has a warrant. A warrant makes entering their place legitimate and lets you act on the printer inside.
Confiscate every printer you find, and move quickly. The owner can return and fight you at any point. The more printers you seize successfully, the more money you earn.

Whichever side you land on, the game rewards playing with others. Civilians move faster in a crew when running goods, robbing banks, or breaking through the checkpoint, and enforcement teams cover more ground when they coordinate raids. Start on a free team, learn the checkpoint flow, and switch roles once you know how both sides operate.
