VertexLabs’ remake of the VR game Scary Baboon has also pulled in close to about 470,000 favorites, which puts it among the more popular monster-survival rounds on the platform.

Recent updates
Mimic Update
The Mimic Update ran from October 30 to November 3, 2026, going live at 5 p.m. ET on launch day. It introduced a new Mimic monster to the lab’s roster of hunters, along with two new items — a sawed-off shotgun and a discobomb — plus two new game passes and a round of bug fixes. It drew a smaller crowd than the update before it, with roughly 100 players marking themselves as interested.
Backrooms Update
The Backrooms Update was the bigger event of the two, live from October 23 to October 28, 2026 and also kicking off at 5 p.m. ET. It added a Backrooms-themed map, two new monsters and VR support, among other changes. Interest ran well ahead of the Mimic Update’s, with over 1,300 players signed up to play.
