In SCROOMS, the Roblox mushroom-taming game, The Next Step quest rewards you with the Ocarina. Begin by speaking to Halden, Leo’s uncle, seated on a log near the campfire and red tents in Songkeeper’s Grove. He sends you to locate five weathered statues around the grove and pay your respects to all of them before giving you his instrument.

Quick answer: Talk to Halden by the campfire, then interact with all five Weathered Statues using the “Pay Respects” prompt, and return to him to accept the Ocarina.

Start The Next Step with Halden

You only need to find the five statues, pay your respects, and return to Halden.

Your instrument, such as the Tamer’s Guitar, stays ready on the hotbar as you move through the grove.
Head into Songkeeper’s Grove and look for the campsite with red tents and a campfire. Halden is resting on the log beside the fire.

Work through his lines. He tasks you to find five weathered statues in the grove and pay your respects so they answer, then listen to their notes and return to him. The objective updates to “Pay respects at the grove statues. (x/5)”.

All five Weathered Statue locations

Walk up to a Weathered Statue and interact with the “Pay Respects” prompt.

Statue 4
The “Pay Respects” prompt is active at the Weathered Statue as the player approaches to interact with it

Statue 1 — beside the vine-covered cabin

This one is on a raised rock platform next to a wooden cabin wrapped in climbing vines, overlooking the camp’s red tents and fire pit.

Statue 2 — on the lower riverbank path

Follow the lower dirt path down toward the riverbank that leads to the waterfall. The second statue is on a stone pedestal in the grass along that path.

Statue 3 — under the large tree by the water

Take the stone-lined path that overlooks the water and the clearing. The third statue is on an elevated stone base beneath a large tree along that route.

Statue 4 — by the glowing lantern

Look for the fourth statue atop a stone mound. A small glowing lantern sits in the grass beside it, and a stone path nearby faces the open grove.

Statue 5 — inside the stone ring on the outer path

Look for it on a stone plinth within a low stone ring, beside a glowing ground lantern and against a large tree’s trunk along the grove’s outer path.

Watch the counter in your quest log climb toward (5/5) as you go. If it stops short, you missed the “Pay Respects” prompt on one statue, so return to it and interact again.

Return to Halden and claim the Ocarina

With all five counted, walk back to Halden at the campfire. His dialogue changes to offer the instrument, ending with “As promised… here, take my ocarina. It’s of little use to an old man like me anymore!” Choose “[Accept the gift]” to finish the quest.

You know it worked when you receive the Ocarina, with the description “Channel the song to interact with the world!”, and the “Magic Melody” badge is awarded. You also gain a level from completing the quest. The Ocarina then joins your hotbar as slot 5.
