Shish Kebab Trophy Guide for Marvel’s Wolverine (The One That Got Away)

The forklift kick early in The One That Got Away is the most reliable way to land the environmental impale.

Shish Kebab is one of the handful of trophies in Marvel’s Wolverine that will not fall into your lap. It asks you to impale an enemy on an environmental hazard, and Logan’s claws are so efficient that most players clear an encounter before they ever think to kick someone into a sharp object. The cleanest opportunity shows up early, in the Canada mission The One That Got Away.

Quick answer: Hold Square to kick a living enemy into the forklift near the log wall in The One That Got Away, moments after you land from the long zipline.

Roughly a third of players have unlocked it so far, which puts it in PSN’s Rare bracket — not because it is hard, but because the setup is easy to walk past. There is no difficulty requirement attached to it, or to any other trophy in the game.

How to kick an enemy into the forklift

Play The One That Got Away until Logan is standing on the elevated metal gantry looking down over the forested camp. This is the stretch of the mission where you are tracking the red-haired mutant.
Run along the walkway, jump, and use the claws to ride the long zipline down toward the corrugated metal roof below. Reavers will start calling out that the target has been spotted nearby.

Drop off the roof to ground level and start the fight with the Reavers by the log wall. Resist the urge to clear the group with normal claw attacks, because you need at least one enemy alive and healthy for the kick.

Position Logan so a single enemy is directly between him and the forklift parked against the log wall, then hold Square to charge the kick. The enemy flies backward onto the forklift’s tines and the environment does the rest.

Do not soften the target up first. A basic enemy at full health gives you more time to walk into position and line up the charged kick without accidentally finishing him off.

How to confirm the trophy unlocked

Contextual trophies like this one wait for the whole animation to finish before anything pops. Let the impale play out rather than immediately mashing into the next enemy, and the Shish Kebab notification appears alongside the usual XP ticker for the kill. The encounter then wraps up, Logan coughs, and the mission dialogue continues.

If nothing unlocks, the usual cause is aim. An enemy that clips the side of the forklift and bounces off does not count, and neither does slamming someone into an ordinary wall — the game is checking for the impale specifically. Reposition so the kick points straight at the sharp end of the hazard and try again.

If both nearby enemies die to normal attacks before you get the kick off, the prompt disappears with them. Reload the checkpoint instead of wandering the rest of the level hoping another usable hazard lines up.

Other environmental hazards that work

The trophy tracks the impalement, not the forklift itself. Sharp hazards appear throughout the campaign, and the raised arms of crane-like machinery are the most common shape you will run into. Any of them can trigger the unlock if an enemy lands on the pointed part.

The reason the forklift is worth remembering is control. Two enemies stand near it before the encounter gets busy, the approach angle is obvious, and you are not fighting a crowd while trying to set up a specific kick. Waiting for a comparable hazard to happen to line up later is slower and far less reliable.

Cleaning it up after the story

Shish Kebab is not missable. Marvel’s Wolverine has no permanently missable trophies and no second playthrough requirement, so skipping the forklift entirely costs you nothing but a return trip.

  • Head to the Nightmare Cabin and use the bed to open Mission Replay.
  • Select The One That Got Away (Canada).
  • Ride the zipline, drop down, and go straight for the forklift setup.
  • Skip the collectibles in that chapter unless the mission tracker shows you are still missing some.

That turns the whole thing into a few minutes of work rather than a reason to start the campaign over. Once it pops, head back to the cabin and move on to whatever contextual trophy or collectible gap is left on your list.
