Silent Hill Townfall: How to Unlock the Cold Calling Trophy (All 13 Phone Numbers)

Every working number across all four parts, plus the two New Game Plus calls that make a second playthrough mandatory.

Every working number across all four parts, plus the two New Game Plus calls that make a second playthrough mandatory.

Cold Calling is one of Silent Hill: Townfall’s rarer trophies, and it asks for exactly one thing: dial every working phone number in St. Amelia at least once. The calls unlock no secret rooms, alternate endings, or hidden items. The trophy itself is the only reward, but reaching it takes some planning because two of the numbers can only be obtained on a second run.

Quick answer: Call all 13 numbers across Parts 1 through 4. Two of them (496 0842 and 496 0112) come from the 946 dial-back service, which only returns a number on a second playthrough, so you need to reach Clara Woods twice.

All 13 phone numbers for Cold Calling

You do not have to physically read each number in the world. Entering the digits works even before you discover the matching document. The one hard rule is timing: a number only connects during or after the part where it first appears.

Character and chapter limits you cannot ignore

The directory does not carry numbers between characters, so each set has to be cleared while you control the right person. Missing that window means starting the affected part over.

  • 900, 010, and 100 stay on your list at all times, no matter who you play.
  • The three Zoe numbers (Council, Zoe Ellis, Dr. Glenn) stop working the moment you leave her and enter the Medical Centre.
  • No number connects while you are playing as Richard, except 100 for saving.
  • The 946 service only returns a number on a replay, which is why two full playthroughs are required.

Part 1: Arrival numbers

The first three numbers come from the “Your Local Services” poster inside the ringing phone box in the Town Square of Shorefront South. Reading that placard adds 900, 010, and 100 to your directory at once. Calling 100 is also the manual save mechanic used throughout the game.

For 496 0244, inspect the bottom of the Room Service Card in Room 204 at the Haldane Hotel. To locate 496 0496, view the Shorefront map, turn it over with R2, and look in its bottom-left corner for the Tourist Centre line.

The 946 dial-back trick (New Game Plus only)

Dialing 946 reaches a WHO callback service, which tells you the last number to ring the booth, much like *69. On your first playthrough, the message says there were no calls during the previous seven days. On your second run, it gives the hidden Unknown number, making a replay necessary for this step. In NG+, use the Shorefront booth near the Town Square during Part 1.

Enter the Shorefront telephone booth off the cobblestone road, examine the payphone, lift the handset, and dial 946.

Listen to the automated message. It reports that the last call to the line came from 496 0842 and registers that number to your directory. A pop-up confirms a new number was added.
Hang up the handset to reset the phone, then lift it again and dial 496 0842. The recorded message addressed to Richard plays, and the trophy fires once the call ends.

In Part 4, the same 946 service appears at the Clara Woods Estate. When you first arrive, head downstairs to trigger the phone box cutscene, read the information poster for 946, then call it to receive 496 0112 and dial that too.

Part 2: Zoe numbers

Make all three calls while Zoe is still under your control. At the start of the chapter, while you are in her living room, pick up the Water Warning notice from the table and find 0163 296 0595 along its bottom edge. Use the hallway landline to dial it.

Before entering the bathroom at Mr. Stewart’s house, inspect the flip notepad on the phone table near the answering machine. Nurse Ellis’s handwritten message gives 496 0103. Calling it plays a message saying the number was sent to a pager service.

Dr. Glenn’s number, 496 0556, sits on the Medical Security Note in the security booth outside St. Amelia Medical Center. Break the booth window with a stone or brick to reach it. This number is required for story progress: at the Main Gate intercom, enter it, wait for the display to read “Connected,” then answer Dr. Glenn’s automated prompts using the keypad. The response sequence that opens the gate is 3 → 2 → 2 → 1. Read each on-screen question before pressing, since some runs report the final prompts differently.

Make the calls to Dr. Glenn, Ellis, and the council while still playing Zoe. Switching characters before entering the Medical Centre makes all three lines unavailable.

Part 3: Calling Hospital Storage (5353)

Only one number appears in this section, and it is guaranteed during an ordinary playthrough. Once the surgery puzzle’s dosage phase is complete, Dr. Glenn instructs Zoe to contact reception and dial extension 5353 for spare intubation kits. The directory automatically gains “Hospital Storage – 5353”, and a pop-up announces the new number.

Part 4: Clara Woods numbers

Along with the 946 and 496 0112 dial-back pair mentioned above, there is one other collectible line in this part. In CEG Lockers, collect the Barcode behind the reception desk next to the scanner, then read 496 0993 in its top-left corner. Dial the number to finish the set. No more phone numbers appear after Clara Woods, so ending the area with fewer than 13 means you missed one earlier.

Confirming the trophy unlocked

Cold Calling unlocks as soon as your last unique call connects. The calls can be made in any order, provided you follow the chapter and character restrictions above. If the trophy is still missing when your second run reaches Clara Woods, one of the three Zoe calls is the likeliest omission; they stop working once you leave her at the Medical Centre. Check those calls first, then make sure both 946 results, 496 0842 and 496 0112, were dialed during the replay. The trophy registers when you connect the final number you still need.
