Skycrest Update in Fisch: Release Time and What’s on the Floating Island

The Roblox fishing game's floating island arrives September 5 with shrines, an Idol Level stat, a bone rod, and a wish system.

The Roblox fishing game’s floating island arrives September 5 with shrines, an Idol Level stat, a bone rod, and a wish system.

Skycrest is the next major content drop for Fisch, the Roblox fishing game, and it takes the form of a limited-time island that surfaces beneath Fischfest. The event is listed as Skycrest: The Floating Island, and it brings a new progression stat, two new NPC types, a new rod, and a long-rumored wish system that the developers have now confirmed.

Quick answer: Skycrest goes live on Saturday, September 5 at 12:00PM ET (4:00PM UTC) and stays open until Saturday, September 12 at the same time. To reach it, swim upward from Fischfest once the island has risen.

Release time: Saturday, September 5 at 12:00PM ET / 4:00PM UTC

Skycrest release time and event window

Skycrest is a timed event rather than a permanent addition, so the seven-day window is the constraint that matters. The island opens and closes at the same clock time on each end.

Note: this update was pushed back by a week, with a smaller filler update shipping in its place beforehand. The September 5 date is the rescheduled launch.

How to reach Skycrest Island

There is no snow globe or teleport item involved this time. The island is described as resting below Fischfest and rising once the event begins, and players reach it by swimming up to it. If you are already at Fischfest when the event flips over, you should be able to head straight there without traveling elsewhere first.

You will know the event is live when the Skycrest area is reachable in-game rather than just listed on the event page. Until the clock hits the start time, the island is not accessible regardless of your level or gear.

Skycrest Island layout: ruins, a windmill, and three shrines

Skycrest is built around a small settlement surrounded by stone ruins, with a windmill as one of its more visible landmarks. Scattered across the island are colored shrines — blue and green ones appear in one section, and a red-brown shrine sits elsewhere on the map.

The most interesting structural detail is a hole in the middle of the island. Its purpose has not been spelled out, but its position at the center of a map ringed by shrines suggests the shrines are the mechanism that opens it. Treat that connection as unconfirmed until the update is live.

Idol Level: a second progression stat

Skycrest introduces a stat called Idol Level, which appears in the interface alongside the existing Level readout. In the leveling panel, the two sit next to each other as separate values, with Idol Level starting at 0 and the standard Level continuing to track as normal.

What raises Idol Level, and what it unlocks, has not been detailed. The naming lines up with the shrine structures on the island, so it is reasonable to expect the two systems to be linked, but nothing about the rate of gain or the rewards has been stated.

Two new NPCs: a stone golem and a winged figure

Two animated characters are arriving with the island. The first is a stone golem with glowing yellow eyes, carrying a stone tool. Its build matches the ruined masonry of the island itself, which points toward it being tied to the shrine or ruin content rather than a standard merchant.

The second is an angelic figure with white wings and a glowing body. Between the two, Skycrest looks set to include NPCs that serve a mechanical role — whether that means quest handoffs, shrine interactions, or something tied to Idol Level is still open.

New rod: bone frame with floating crystals

A new fishing rod is coming with the update. It uses a bone-like structure for its body, with crystals hovering loose near the tip rather than being fixed to the frame. Its stats, unlock method, and where it sits in the rod hierarchy have not been published.

Separately, developer nicholas (@petepuk) stated in the Fisch Wiki Discord that a new end game rod is shipping with Skycrest. Whether the bone rod is that end game rod, or a second item entirely, has not been clarified. An end game rod matters because it addresses a recurring complaint that deeper progression has not come with a corresponding reward at the top of the rod ladder.

The wish system is confirmed for Skycrest

A wish system has circulated as a rumor in the community for a long stretch. Developer Nick has now confirmed it is being added to the game with this update, which moves it out of speculation and into the shipped feature list.

The mechanics behind it — what you spend, what you can pull, and whether it is tied to the shrines or Idol Level — have not been described. Treat any specific pull rates or reward lists circulating ahead of launch as unverified.

What remains unconfirmed about Skycrest

Several pieces of the update have been shown without explanation. Keeping them separate from the confirmed list will save you time chasing details that do not exist yet.

New end game rodConfirmed by the developer
Idol Level exists in the UIConfirmed; gain method and rewards unknown

The practical takeaway is simple. Be online near Fischfest before 12:00PM ET on September 5, and plan around a hard close a week later, because a timed island means anything exclusive to Skycrest stops being obtainable when the window shuts.
