The Sand Glove is a knockback-focused glove in Slap Battles that pushes a target back a long distance with a spreading row of sand. Unlocking it means reaching Summer Island and beating the surfing mini-game run by the John Surfboard NPC.
Quick answer: Go under the hatch near spawn to reach the Hitman NPC, click the all-season poster in the room behind him to teleport to Summer Island, then talk to John Surfboard and finish the five-day surf mini-game to receive the Estival Heatwaver Badge and the Sand Glove.

Reach Summer Island through the Hitman’s office
The entire route starts from the main lobby. You need to drop below the map, pass the Hitman NPC, and use the seasonal poster as a teleporter.

The mini-game runs across five days, and each day carries a different season theme. Your job is to ride the surfboard and dodge obstacles until you reach the end of every day.
You get four lives for the whole attempt, so hitting an obstacle costs a life rather than ending the run instantly. Steer with the left and right keys to weave around whatever comes at you and finish each day cleanly.
Clearing all five days completes the run. The moment you finish, the game awards the Estival Heatwaver Badge and grants the Sand Glove.

Note: You know it worked when the Estival Heatwaver Badge notification appears and the Sand Glove becomes available to equip. If the run ends early, you ran out of lives before clearing the fifth day, so avoid the obstacles more carefully on the next attempt.
Sand Glove stats and abilities
Once equipped, the Sand Glove trades speed for a strong pushing hit. Here are its base numbers.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Power | 53 |
| Speed | 15 |
The glove has two abilities. Beach Day creates a large wave of sand that hits players standing roughly 5 to 10 studs away. Big Sandy Claws opens with the Beach Day wave and then chains into a second attack using large sand claws that knock enemies back.
Both abilities lean on distance and knockback, which makes the Sand Glove effective for shoving opponents off ledges or breaking up crowds rather than trading quick slaps up close.
