Slayers 2 Best Skill Tree Build Guide for Slayer and Demon

The exact order to spend skill points from level 1 to endgame, whichever path you pick.

The exact order to spend skill points from level 1 to endgame, whichever path you pick.

Slayers 2 uses one branching skill tree for both factions. Where you put points determines your movement speed, staying power, and how soon you can get to trainers. Slayers and Demons spend from the same supply, so an inefficient early choice can hamper travel, farming, and story advancement all at once. Resets are uncommon, making the order of unlocks more important than your current point total.

Quick answer: Unlock Wall Climb, followed by Double Jump; then invest in stamina, block, maximum health, and health regeneration. Leave damage upgrades and Breathing or Blood Demon Art forms until those basics are in place.

How skill points work in Slayers 2

Each level gives you about three universal skill points to allocate anywhere in the tree. Access the tree through your character screen, rather than a trainer, and purchase one node at a time. Certain nodes require the preceding node to be unlocked first.

Character level is not the only gate. Higher-tier moves also require Mastery, which is a separate progression track. Reaching around level 25 opens certain trainers, but it does not automatically hand you every form for your build. Some later abilities need both points and enough Mastery, so leveling alone will not finish the tree.

Make your plan assuming no reset will be available. A skill tree reset code may occasionally come with update rewards, but you cannot count on it to undo an early investment in damage.

Skill point priority for levels 1 to 25

Before specializing, both Slayers and Demons must visit trainers, quest markers, and material farms. Their opening stretch matches; allocate your first points in this order.

OrderNodeWhy it comes first
1Wall ClimbTrainers and shortcuts sit on cliffs
2Double JumpOpen-world pathing and combat resets
3StaminaEvery action drains the bar
4BlockSurvives material farms and bosses
5Max HealthMargin to learn attack patterns
6Health RegenerationCuts downtime between fights

Wall Climb requires 6 skill points and has no alternative for reaching certain areas. Some trainers and shortcuts are inaccessible without it; detouring around each cliff takes much longer than spending the point. Double Jump makes travel across the rest of the map easier and lets you recover your position during combat.

Once you have mobility, prioritize survival-related upgrades before the benefits of extra damage. Surviving for roughly 30 percent longer can mean more damage overall than a modest flat attack increase, since you can complete combos instead of pulling back. Stamina is especially important: it determines whether a full combo leaves enough energy for a dodge.

Health upgrades come right after. More Max Health gives you room to learn enemy patterns without dying to every mistake, and Health Regen Speed shortens recovery so you spend less time waiting between mob or boss fights.

Hold off on pure damage nodes and deep clan branches until this foundation is finished. Spending heavily on specialized passives while your character still struggles to move or survive is the most common way early builds stall.

Where Slayer and Demon paths diverge

After your mobility and survival needs are met, Slayer and Demon investments diverge. Breathing and Blood Demon Arts are exclusive to their respective paths, making points spent on the other path ineffective. Pick your path before investing in forms.

Slayer: Breathing trainers at level 25

Breathing trainers require both a character level and a material offering. You will need Demon Horns dropped by High Demons, which are often around Iceveil Valley, as well as Beast Cores from Beast Born Demons. Gather these while leveling so you have them when you reach the trainer. Water is the easiest style to start with thanks to its defensive forms and forgiving recovery windows. Thunder, Sound, and Insect deal more damage in the mid-game if you can handle their faster inputs.

Demon: reputation instead of trainers

Unlocking demonic arts requires evil reputation, not a trainer level. Go to Muzan in Mistfall Harbor after dark, gather Spider Lily, and make your first Blood Demon Art roll. Ice Manipulation, Shockwave, and Dream Manipulation rank highly for control and dueling. Arrow Manipulation is more beginner-friendly, while Blood Manipulation excels at sustained PvE damage.

No matter which path you choose, invest in your first forms as soon as the system becomes available. One unlocked form that you can use is more valuable than several partially funded branches.

Buy weapon nodes only for the weapon you use

Each weapon type has its own skill branch, and upgrades for a weapon you are not using have no effect. Put points into the branch for the weapon in your regular combat setup. If you may change weapon types later, save those points instead of dividing them between two branches. A concentrated build is simpler to handle than one spread across weapons you leave unused.

When to spend on clan passives

Clan passives can offer strong bonuses deeper in their branches, but they are better suited to the mid-to-late game. Their value also depends on your clan, so investing heavily in its deeper nodes is risky if you might change clans. First cover movement, stamina, health, your primary combat forms, and your weapon branch; spend remaining points on clan bonuses afterward. Choose bonuses that suit the combat style you have learned, rather than pursuing a well-known surname.

Mid-game and late-game spending (levels 25 to 60+)

After securing mobility, survival, and your first forms, direct the remaining points toward damage and mastery. Follow a deliberate order so you do not invest midway in an upgrade you cannot use yet.

  • Damage and mastery nodes for your trained style, after the trainer unlock
  • Cooldown reduction, which widens burst windows on long-cooldown forms
  • Percentage damage scaling, which only pays off once base damage is already high
  • Niche quality-of-life nodes last, once the route-critical unlocks are done

Slayers should target Final Selection at about level 45. Travel there from Mistfall Harbor via the Butterfly Estate, then cross the southern bridge. Before going, bind a Breathing Style, unlock Wall Climb and Double Jump, and bring gear suitable for the Hand Demon fight. At this point, skill points are only one source of lasting power. At the Butterfly Estate, Ren’s gourd shop exchanges Wen for Slayer Progress after you return his missing Nichirin Blade. At Mistfall Harbor, Ginzo purchases Coin Stacks and Coin Piles once you bring back his Jewelry Box. Large gourds offer the best value when the goal is to fund rank gains.

At this stage the goal shifts from surviving to sharpening a build that already works. Focus on the abilities that support how you actually play instead of trying to unlock everything, and let the same rule apply to Breathing Styles, Blood Demon Arts, and weapon lines alike.

How to confirm your build is on track

A well-prioritized tree should meet three tests: you can climb a cliff to a trainer without searching for a detour; you can complete a full combo and retain stamina for one dodge; and your trained form is bound and ready for combat, not greyed out because you still need Mastery.

When one of these tests fails, you have usually bought damage upgrades before finishing the mobility and stamina basics. Resets are scarce, so pause spending, use your next few levels to fill in the missing foundation nodes, and resume improving damage afterward.
