In Slayers 2, Ore is the currency you can earn without paying; mining and NPCs will not give it to you. Chests are its sole source, with a maximum drop rate of 5 percent. Your best approach is to open as many eligible chests as possible each hour and rely on repeated rolls.
Quick answer: Take a Frozen Heart to White Terror Lair and use it to call the Yeti Demon. Defeating it yields three chests, and every chest has a 5% Ore drop chance, giving this fight the highest yield per encounter.
Ore drop rates by source
Ore comes only from chests. Defeating a boss gives you containers, and each one makes its own Ore roll. The best rate is 5 percent, shared by seven chest types; lower-rate options are poor choices for building a farming route.
| Source | Ore chance | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ice Chest | 5% | Yeti Demon drop |
| Rare Chest | 5% | Yeti Demon drop |
| World Events Chest | 5% | Yeti and world bosses |
| Sealed Cache T1 / T2 / T3 | 5% | Found around the map |
| Ouwigahara Chest | 5% | — |
| Common Chest | 2.5% | Low priority |
| Lost Chest | 2.5% | Low priority |
| Snow Chest | 2% | Lowest chest rate |
| Fishing | Extremely low | AFK only |
| Restock the Infirmary | Guaranteed | One-time quest claim |
| Supply the Settlement | Guaranteed | One-time quest claim |
There are just two quests that award guaranteed Ore, and neither can be claimed more than once. Finish them early, then move on: they will not provide ongoing income.
Each chest gets its own 5 percent roll; there is no accumulating counter. Even after twenty openings, an Ore drop is not assured, and extended stretches without one are normal, not evidence of a bug.

Add to Google Preferences →Collect Frozen Hearts from Sealed Caches first
The Yeti must be called forth; it will not simply appear. Use a Frozen Heart, which has a 10 percent drop chance from Sealed Cache T1, T2, or T3. These caches yield Ore at twice the rate, making them useful for fueling the Yeti loop without slowing it down.
Sealed Caches are scattered in accessible spots around the map. On each lap, open every cache you encounter: the same run can yield Ore rolls, Frozen Hearts, and secondary materials such as Metal Scraps and Silk Thread, so each chest has value. Frozen Hearts may also appear in snow-area chests, or you may be able to buy one from the Black Market NPC instead of depending on drops.
Collect a few Frozen Hearts before heading over. Using three or four in a row during one visit saves time compared with repeating the waterfall trip for each Heart.
The Yeti Demon run at White Terror Lair
Defeating the Yeti rewards three chests, each with its own 5 percent roll—three chances from one activity. Aim to be at least level 100 before taking it on; the encounter tests your damage output directly.
World boss route for World Events Chests
Defeating any world boss awards a World Events Chest, one of the chest types with a 5 percent rate. Although this approach was nerfed recently, it remains dependable because boss returns follow a regular day-and-night-cycle timer. A strong rotation lets you open a chest every few minutes.
Plan around the time of day, since certain bosses, Reaper among them, only show up after dark. A daylight-only route misses those encounters. For a practical loop, take down the closest world event and open its chest, then travel to another boss while the first respawn timer runs. Open Sealed Caches on your path, and visit White Terror Lair when you have Frozen Hearts saved up.
Wait until you can defeat world bosses quickly before making them your primary farm. A slow kill or repeated deaths reduces your chest haul per hour more than an imperfect route does.
AFK fishing while you are away
Fishing has an extremely low Ore rate, so it is not worth farming actively. Its value is that it keeps rolling for Ore while you do something else, making it the pick for overnight or AFK sessions. For the best odds, run this setup:
- A Legendary Fishing Rod refined to level 5.
- Fish Head Bait.
- The Legendary Fisherman, Salvager, and Leviathan Hunter titles, granting a 2x boost to fishing luck.
Verify Ore sources in the Archives menu
Drop rates are available for you to verify. From the in-game menu, open Archives and enter “ore” in the search box. Its listing shows each chest capable of dropping Ore and the precise rate, including Sealed Cache T1, T2, and T3. Search for Frozen Heart there as well to check its 10 percent chance.
After each patch, revisit Archives before following a route you learned earlier. Checking there quickly reveals nerfs, so you can avoid spending an evening on a method that no longer works the same way.
What Ore is used for
Ore is a currency of Mythic rarity and an alternative to Robux for payment. In the DEV Product Store, switch between those options to access gamepass-tier perks without paying real money. Keep it distinct from Refinement Ore and Mythic Refinement Ore: those are crafting materials. Verify which item you are farming before committing hours to it.
- Clan and BDA rerolls.
- Breathing resets.
- Map pings for Muzan and Spider Lily locations.
- Other gamepass-linked shop items and perks.
Since Ore drops infrequently, save it for a reroll you genuinely want. Casual spending often leaves players repeating the Yeti grind to get something they already owned.
Claims of a guaranteed Ore method, a secret seller, or an undiscovered spawn point are false. Every eligible chest has a fixed 5 percent chance, leaving chest volume as your only way to improve your results. Save Frozen Hearts for the Yeti’s three chest rolls, use world bosses and Sealed Caches between summons, and fish AFK while away.
