Slayers 2 abandoned the predecessor’s universal katana setup and now divides combat among separate weapon archetypes, with every archetype carrying its own skills and mastery progression. Roblox currently offers eleven special weapons: five for Slayers and six for Demons. The game client does not identify the boss or chest tier connected to any of them on Roblox.
Quick answer: Eleven special weapons exist, five Slayer and six Demon. Each has exactly one route: a named boss, a Tier 2 or Tier 3 raid chest, Togane’s forge, or a 100,000 Cash purchase.
Every Slayers 2 weapon, rarity, and source
| Weapon | Side | Rarity | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cutlass | Slayer | Rare | Zuko, Starter Island |
| Spear | Slayer | Epic | Tier 2 chests, Butterfly Mansion |
| Shotgun | Slayer | Legendary | Craft, Blacksmith Togane |
| Gauntlet | Slayer | Legendary | Black Market, 100,000 Cash |
| Tanto | Slayer | Legendary | Tier 3 chests, Snow Village |
| Claws | Demon | Epic | Kaiden, Bamboo Grove |
| War Fans | Demon | Legendary | Domae, Snow Village |
| Sickles | Demon | Legendary | Hoyuzo, Iceveil Valley |
| Blood Sickles | Demon | Legendary | Gyutaro, cave near Boulder Split |
| Bladed Wagasa | Demon | Legendary | Fujiko, Final Selection Plains |
| Scythe | Demon | Legendary | Tier 3 chests, Snow Island |
The rarity tag is a label on the item, not a promise about performance. The Rare Cutlass is genuinely useful because it drops from content you clear in your first hour, while two Legendary options sit behind the deepest raid tier or a six-figure pile of money. Two practical things save time before you commit an evening: keep inventory space free, because a full bag can waste an otherwise clean kill, and remember that the currency appears as Wen in some menus and Cash in others. It is the same money.

Before any of these, Raze sells a Regular Katana for roughly 500 Wen and a Fancy Katana for around 1,500 Wen in the starter loop. Buy one as soon as bandit quests pay out. Clear speed is what funds the expensive weapons later, so walking around undergeared to save money costs you more than it saves.
Cutlass (Rare) — Zuko on Starter Island
For most players, the Cutlass is the first meaningful upgrade. Zuko, the Starter Island boss named in Krue’s level 7 quest, drops it. Since Zuko wanders through open wilderness instead of an enclosed arena, other players may join the fight and tag him. Spend your first couple of clears learning his attack timing rather than exchanging blows; a death and return trip takes much longer than a careful kill.
Double Cut launches two slashes that push the target back a little, while Quick Draw begins with a forward hit and follows with several rapid slashes if it connects. The pair works especially well against Kaiden Subordinate packs, so the Cutlass is the practical choice until raid-tier equipment is within reach.

Spear (Epic) — Tier 2 raid chests
You can obtain the Spear from Tier 2 raid chests, meaning the Butterfly Mansion circuit is your farming route. Its damage comes from lengthy combos instead of isolated powerful blows, and each skill includes an invulnerability period during its animation. With the right timing, you can pass through a boss ultimate rather than take damage, making the weapon effective against patterns such as Kaiden’s. Take healing items and a functioning Breathing Style; Epic-tier farming is less forgiving of an underleveled character than open-world boss fights.
Shotgun (Legendary) — crafted at Blacksmith Togane
The Shotgun is the list’s sole self-crafted weapon, and its recipe comes with a timing complication. You need three materials: two are chest rewards, while the last comes from a boss that appears only during Final Selection, a one-time raid. Its third ability includes an invulnerability window, giving the weapon a defensive option during boss ultimates.

Final Selection is a one-time raid. Grab the boss drop before you complete it.
Gauntlet (Legendary) — Black Market purchase
The Gauntlet requires no drop luck: the Black Market NPC sells it directly for 100,000 Cash. That is a mid-game expense, not a sum most players can assemble during the first hour. Fund it through Bandit runs, quest turn-ins, and loot sales to Ginzo at Mistfall Harbor. Check that you have found the genuine vendor rather than a player-operated stall made to resemble one.
Its attacks send red energy shockwaves over a broad area, making the Gauntlet strong against crowds and big targets such as Mother Bear, but less suited to isolated duels. The drawback is slow startup on at least one move, giving a watchful opponent time to block, parry, or evade. Try the moveset in a safe location before entering Tier 3 territory.
Tanto (Legendary) — Tier 3 raid chests
Snow Village’s Tier 3 raid chests contain the Tanto, the furthest Slayer weapon to farm. It occupies the secondary slot and functions as an assassin tool, with almost immediate startup, quick slash sequences, and thrusts that pierce Kaiden and his subordinates. Phantom Barrage throws and catches the blade before releasing a burst of fast cuts; Spiral Fang is a steerable spinning rush that saps the target’s momentum on impact; Tanto Descent opens with a thrown blade, then links air dashes to a kick after it connects.
Yagane runs a separate track. He forges special style katanas from Crude Iron, which also comes out of Final Selection. Settle on your Breathing Style before handing over the iron, because a mismatched blade wastes both the material and the forge.
Demon weapons and the bosses that drop them
Six weapons belong to the Demon side, and five of those come strictly from bosses. Defeat the listed boss, hope for the reward, and repeat the process. The order below roughly follows the point at which a character can take them on.
Claws (Epic) — Kaiden in Bamboo Grove
Kaiden, known as The Claw Reaper, drops the Claws, the first Demon weapon most players can pursue. He appears in Bamboo Grove next to Mother Bear, allowing the trip to line up with Tom’s level 13 and level 18 bear quests. The weapon focuses on close-range pressure through light-attack chains, while its abilities weave forward and backward movement into their animations.

Sickles (Legendary) — Hoyuzo in Iceveil Valley
Hoyuzo is located in Iceveil Valley, where he drops the Sickles. Farming him is effectively gated behind level 50. His guard NPCs are tied to the Wagwan quest chain, which most players run from 40 to 60, so that fight is already part of your route. A character with Blood Manipulation as its Evil Art must obtain a Sickle, because the art requires one.
Blood Sickles (Legendary) — Gyutaro near Boulder Split
Look for Gyutaro in the cave near the waterfall beside the Boulder Split training ground. His drop is the Blood Sickles, the upgraded pair described above. Both versions use double-wheel spinning attacks and connect directly with Blood Demon Art abilities, making them the final choice for a Blood Manipulation build.
War Fans (Legendary) — Domae in Snow Village
In the snow region, Domae appears at the village located on the Iceveil Valley side of the map. The War Fans offer fast attacks, slicing multi-hits, and ice-based area attacks. Their Z skill normally creates a tornado; activate the X skill first and it instead becomes a projectile storm. Since three different weapons come from the snow area, it is the best place to stay once you can handle its enemies.

Bladed Wagasa (Legendary) — Fujiko in Final Selection Plains
Fujiko patrols the Final Selection Plains and drops the Bladed Wagasa at a 0.5% rate, easily the rarest roll in the game. To reach her, head to Mistfall Harbor, cross toward the Butterfly Estate, then take the long bridge south into the plains. The umbrella itself is worth the grind for its sun immunity passive alone, and it fires rapid yellow projectile slashes plus a vortex attack.
With a half-percent chance, the Wagasa should be treated as a long-term project. Combine attempts with quests that already take you into the plains instead of making separate Fujiko runs.
Scythe (Legendary) — Tier 3 chests on Snow Island
No boss owns the only Demon weapon in this category. The Scythe is found in Tier 3 chests on Snow Island, and its combat style uses broad spinning cuts, red energy bursts, and powerful slams into the ground. Since Tier 3 snow chests also contain the Tanto, both weapons can be farmed along the same route.
Raid chest tiers by location: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3
Open-world raid chests provide three weapons, with the raid’s location determining the chest tier rather than an end-screen luck roll. Across the map, Raid NPCs stand near locked chests. Finish the raid at one of those sites to open its chest.
| Raid location | Chest tier | Weapon |
|---|---|---|
| Starter Village | Tier 1 | None |
| Butterfly Mansion | Tier 2 | Spear |
| Snow Village | Tier 3 | Tanto |
| Snow Island | Tier 3 | Scythe |
When a raid pays out, it gives Sealed Caches marked with a tier, such as Sealed Cache T1; after the run, open the cache through your inventory. Use Starter Village raids to collect materials and money, since neither the Spear nor the Tanto can appear in that loot pool. For Tier 2, travel from Bamboo Grove toward Mistfall Harbor along the same map section used to reach Butterfly Mansion content.
Open-world caches and dungeon portal rewards are separate systems. When the chest you are opening lacks a tier label corresponding to your current region, it is not part of the loot table you need. A pile of leftover Tier 1 caches cannot yield a Tier 3 weapon.
How to confirm a weapon dropped and its skills are active
Whether it comes from a drop, a craft, or a purchase, the weapon is placed directly in your inventory. It also appears in the Archives screen, where you can see its stats and stated source. Use that entry to verify a kill’s result quickly; it distinguishes an actual weapon roll from a loot window that closed after giving only materials.
Owning it is not the same as using it. After equipping, check the hotbar along the bottom of the screen. The weapon’s own moves should replace your previous set, and a mastery panel for that weapon type should appear on the HUD. If the hotbar still shows your old skills, the weapon is sitting in your inventory rather than the active slot.
Updates may alter rarity tags or the wording on chest labels, so follow the text currently shown in-game whenever it conflicts with your expectation about a forge recipe or cache. Progress from the first game does not transfer, meaning all players begin this weapon hunt from Zuko on equal footing after the September 18, 2026 launch. The roster is also still expanding as the game settles in.
