The Tanto is a Legendary weapon in Slayers 2, and the only way to add it to your inventory is by opening Sealed Caches earned from raid events. There is no shop purchase or quest reward for this blade. You clear a raid chest, claim the cache it drops, and open that cache for a chance at the Tanto.

Tanto drop rates by Sealed Cache tier
Every Sealed Cache can drop the Tanto, but the odds scale sharply with the cache tier. Higher tiers come from tougher raids, so Tier 3 is the fastest route to the weapon.

Stick to Tier 3 raids only. A Tier 3 cache is worth four Tier 1 caches on drop odds alone, so farming lower tiers wastes time.
Where to find Tier 3 raid chests in Snow Village
Tier 3 raid chests spawn most reliably in Snow Village and the surrounding snowy regions. Look for a chest glowing with a red aura and ringed by hostile enemies such as Cache Lancers, a Lancer Captain, or a Raid Captain. The red aura marks the raid as active and guarded.
The chest cannot be opened on approach. You have to defeat the guarding raid enemies to complete the event before the cache becomes claimable.
The snowy biomes deal cold damage over time. Equip an Emberheart Lantern to survive the cold, and keep regeneration items on hand while you fight.

How to confirm the Tanto dropped
When the Tanto rolls out of a Sealed Cache, a claim prompt appears with the hotkey T, shown as “Tanto Claim.” Pressing T adds the weapon to your inventory. If no prompt shows after opening a cache, the roll failed and you open the next one.
Tanto abilities and moveset
Once equipped, the Tanto uses fast blade swings for its basic attacks and three keyed skills for burst damage.

Firstlight Tanto is a separate weapon
Do not confuse the Tanto with the Firstlight Tanto. The Firstlight Tanto is a different Legendary weapon that does not come from Sealed Caches. It is a hidden, secret weapon unlocked through a quest chain involving Trapper Retsu, a Mushroom Lantern, and a shovel, and it must be dug up and crafted rather than looted from a raid.
