Smash the City, the Roblox destruction sandbox from Kabooom Crew, has a weapon roster that runs from a simple firework to a moon crashing into downtown. Every building you flatten pays out Coins, and those Coins buy more weapons. That makes the roster itself the progression system. Knowing what each weapon does, and which ones you can’t buy with Coins at all, saves you from spending on the wrong thing.
Quick answer: Smash the City has 71 weapons split across seven categories. Most unlock with Coins, eight require Robux, and Meteor and Tornado require joining the Kabooom Crew Roblox group.

Smash the City weapon count by category
The seven categories hint at how a weapon breaks things. Explosives hit areas with blasts, Nature uses disasters, Sci-Fi leans on gadgets and physics tricks, and Fun weapons trade efficiency for slapstick. Nature is the largest group, while Fun is the smallest.
| Category | Weapons | Non-Coin unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Nature | 14 | 3 premium, 2 group |
| Sci-Fi | 13 | 2 premium |
| Explosives | 11 | 1 premium |
| Tools | 11 | None |
| Monsters | 9 | 1 premium |
| Aircraft | 7 | None |
| Fun | 6 | 1 premium |
| Total | 71 | 8 premium, 2 group |

There are three ways a weapon becomes available. Which one applies is fixed per weapon, so a premium weapon can’t be ground out with Coins no matter how many cities you level.
- Coins: the default path for the large majority of the roster, earned by destroying buildings.
- Robux (premium): Void Nuke, Sharknado, Sun, Moon Fall, Mega Mech, Supernova, Dragon, and Army.
- Kabooom Crew Roblox group: Meteor and Tornado, both in the Nature category.
Coins are earned whenever you destroy a structure, with extra payouts when a city reaches 25%, 50%, 75%, and 95% destruction. Advancing a run to a higher threshold is the most direct way to pay for the next Coin unlock.
The code SMASH grants 5,000 Coins when entered in the game’s code redemption menu, which is enough for an early unlock or two.

Adjusting weapon properties after unlocking
Buying a weapon isn’t the last decision. Click an unlocked weapon and Smash the City opens a menu of its properties, which you can tune to change how it demolishes things. The options are specific to each weapon rather than shared across the roster. If clicking a weapon opens that menu instead of a purchase prompt, it’s unlocked and ready to use.
