Every confirmed platform for the floating-island survival game, plus the Switch 2 status and co-op limits.

Solarpunk is a survival game set across a world of floating islands, where you build a home base, farm, craft gadgets, and travel between islands on your own airship. It launched on June 8, 2026, and is playable now across PC and current-generation consoles, with one platform still pending.

Quick answer: You can play Solarpunk on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, on Xbox Series X/S (including Game Pass and Play Anywhere), and on PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is confirmed but has no release date yet.

Solarpunk platforms and availability

The game was developed by Cyberwave and published by rokaplay. Four platform families are confirmed, and three of them are live. The table below breaks down each one and how it is offered.

PlatformStatusNotes
PC (Steam)AvailablePriced at $22.99; supports single-player and online co-op
PC (Epic Games Store)AvailableSame launch window as Steam
Xbox Series X/SAvailableIncluded with Game Pass and supports Play Anywhere
PlayStation 5AvailableStandalone purchase
Nintendo Switch 2To be announcedConfirmed platform, release date not yet set

Because Xbox supports Play Anywhere, a single Xbox purchase or Game Pass membership gives you the game on both Xbox Series X/S and Windows PC. The Switch 2 edition is the only version without a confirmed launch date.

Co-op and crossplay limits

Solarpunk supports solo play and online co-op for up to four players. Each player keeps a separate inventory, so a group can build a shared base or work on individual projects on the same islands.

There is no crossplay between platforms. Multiplayer also runs on a host model rather than dedicated public servers, which means one player hosts the session for everyone else. There is no PvP, no raiding, and no base attacks.

Language support on every version

The game ships with interface and subtitle support across 14 languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Polish, Turkish, and Ukrainian. There is no full voice audio.

How to verify you are getting the right version

Decide which ecosystem you want. If you split time between PC and Xbox, the Game Pass or Play Anywhere route covers both with one entitlement.
Open the matching store page for your platform and confirm the publisher is listed as rokaplay and the developer as Cyberwave before you buy. This avoids picking up a bundle or DLC item by mistake.
If you want Switch 2, hold off for now. No official Switch 2 release date is currently confirmed, so the only way to play today is on PC, Xbox, or PS5.

For most players, the choice comes down to whether you already pay for Game Pass and whether you want to play with friends who own the game on the same platform, since cross-platform sessions are not possible. Once you launch into a save, the cozy build-and-farm loop plays the same on every confirmed version.
