Locked doors, wall safes, and hidden stashes are scattered across the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and most of them are sealed behind numeric keypads. Some codes are handed to you through quests, while others are scratched into nearby walls, concrete slabs, or documents you have to find yourself. Below is every keypad code currently confirmed to work, organized by where you’ll find the locked door or safe.
Working STALKER 2 door and safe codes
Each entry below lists the code and the specific door or safe it opens, so you can match it to the location you’re standing in front of.

Walk up to a locked door or safe and interact with the panel to bring up the numeric keypad. Type in the digits using the on-screen number buttons in the order shown above, then confirm the entry. If you type a wrong digit, use the red X button on the panel to delete numbers one at a time instead of restarting the whole code.
A correct code makes the door swing open or the safe’s latch pop immediately, with no confirmation message needed beyond the model itself unlocking. If the panel rejects the code, double check you’re at the right location, since several codes in the Zone look similar but belong to different doors.
Where the Lab X-18 codes come from
The 2012 and 2865 codes both belong to Lab X-18, the underground facility tied to the Unfinished Business side quest. That quest becomes available at the Slag Heap in Garbage after finishing Hot on the Trail, and it disappears once A Minor Incident is started, so it needs to be picked up in that window. Diode gives out the job and a keycard to reach the lab entrance, roughly 600 meters south of the Slag Heap inside a brick warehouse behind a crane.
Code 2012 opens the sealed door off the central elevator lobby, and it can be confirmed by finding the digits 1, 2, and 20 written in blood on walls in earlier rooms. Code 2865 opens the supply room next to Professor Mikheyev, and it’s confirmed by numbers scratched into a concrete slab just outside that same room. Entering both correctly is required to reach Mikheyev and complete the lab’s Aggression Suppressor sequence.
Lukash’s stash location and the 8154 code
Code 8154 leads to Lukash’s stash, a hidden reward tied to the same quest that never appears as a marker on the map. To reach it, head to the Electric Field southeast of the Slag Heap and climb to the roof of the building there. A Poltergeist guards a generator in the corner, so clear it out and activate the generator to open the door leading inside.
Once inside, enter 8154 on the wall-mounted keypad to open a small safe sitting on a shelf. Placing the Emitter (the item retrieved from Mikheyev during Unfinished Business) inside that small safe triggers a second, larger safe near the keypad to unlock on its own. Lukash’s stash holds an Integral-A SMG, an RNBW 2x scope, and roughly 17,000 coupons.
Note: Leaving the Emitter in the small safe means Diode never receives it, so his 15,000 coupon reward is forfeited. The stash contents outweigh that reward on their own, and the highest total comes from combining both paths.
Unfinished Business reward outcomes
| Choice made with Mikheyev | Result |
|---|---|
| Let Mikheyev keep the Emitter | No reward |
| Confront him with the PDA, then let him keep it | 11,000 coupons |
| Take the Emitter back to Diode | 15,000 coupons |
| Confront him, kill him, then loot Lukash’s stash with code 8154 | Roughly 26,000 coupons, Integral-A SMG, RNBW 2x scope |
Killing Mikheyev after demanding coupons is the only path that unlocks every reward tied to the quest, since it hands over both the money he pays out and the Emitter needed to open Lukash’s stash.
Keep the code list above bookmarked while exploring, since several safes and stashes sit off the beaten path and won’t show up as markers until you’ve already found the note, PDA, or wall marking that points to them.
