Star Wars Zero Company: How to Get to the Control Platform

The opening objective of Slice the Lucrehulk Databank drops Hawks and the squad onto a stack of outdoor industrial platforms with a single instruction: get to the control platform. There is no combat to solve here and no puzzle gate. It is a navigation section, played from the third-person view, and the only real risk is wandering the wrong direction across identical metal walkways and losing a few minutes.

Quick answer: From the start, run forward and turn right, hop the railing to the walkway below, climb the metal stairs, take the stairs back down on the far side, turn left across the long bridge, drop down to the platform on your left, then climb the short steps to the console. The objective flips to “Access the Data Downlink” when you arrive.

What the control platform objective actually asks for

Bennic radios in at the start of the sequence to explain the goal: there is a data downlink out on the outer platform, and reaching it gives the team access to the ship’s memory banks. The control platform is simply the spot where that downlink console sits, at the far end of the exterior route. Security is deliberately thin along the way, so you can move at a normal pace instead of clearing rooms.

Note: the mission is called Slice the Lucrehulk Databank, but the on-screen objective header renders it as “SLICE THE LUCKREHULK DATABANK.” Same mission, just an inconsistency in the HUD text.

The route to the control platform, from spawn to console

From where you start alongside your squad, run straight forward and then turn right. You are heading for the railing at the edge of the starting platform rather than any door or corridor.
Vault the railing to drop onto the walkway one level below. Keep running along that walkway until you see a set of metal stairs ahead of you.

Climb the stairs to the elevated platform above. This is the highest point of the route and the only place worth stopping, because of the optional intel pickup covered below.
Cross the elevated platform and take the stairs back down on the opposite side. Do not backtrack down the same staircase you came up.
At the bottom, turn left and run the length of the long metal bridge. Squad chatter about how light the security is plays here, which is a reliable sign you are on the correct path.
At the end of the bridge, drop down to the lower platform on your left and follow the path along its outer edge.
Climb the short flight of steps at the end of that path. The console sits right at the top, and interacting is not required for the objective to advance.

Optional: grab the +3 Advantage intel from the upper platform

Once you are up on the elevated platform at the top of the metal stairs, pull out a scoped weapon and look through the sight at the distant structure across the gap. Holding the sight on it awards a +3 Advantage bonus, shown as a pop-up on screen. Advantage is the resource that powers your squad’s most expensive abilities in combat, so banking three points before the fighting starts is free value.

Skipping it does not lock you out of anything or change the route. If you have already run down the far stairs, you can walk back up and scope the structure before continuing.

How to confirm you reached the control platform

The moment you step up to the console at the top of the short stairs, the objective text in the corner changes from “GET TO THE CONTROL PLATFORM” to “ACCESS THE DATA DOWNLINK.” That swap is the confirmation. If the objective still reads the old text, you have not reached the console yet, and the usual cause is missing one of the two drops on the route.

CheckpointWhat you should see
Mission startBennic’s radio line about the data downlink on the outer platform
Top of the metal stairsElevated platform, optional +3 Advantage via a scoped weapon
Long bridgeSquad dialogue about security being light
Short steps at the endConsole, objective updates to “Access the Data Downlink”

The whole traversal takes under a minute if you know the turns, and the two dialogue beats along the way double as checkpoints. Detour up the stairs for the Advantage points first, then keep left after the bridge and follow the edge to the console to move the mission on to the downlink.
