Rebirthing in Steal a Brainrot is a trade. You give up the cash you have built and two specific brainrots. In return you get a multiplier, a longer base lock, a Friend Controller unlock, and three tools that stay locked in the cash stall until you have rebirthed once. The game spells out the whole deal on one panel before you commit.
Quick answer: Press Rebirth under the Shop button. Reach $500K in-game cash, own Trippi Troppi and Gangster Footera, then hit the gold Rebirth button. You lose all cash and both brainrots.
How to rebirth in Steal a Brainrot
The process runs through a single panel, and you can open it at any time to check your progress. You can look at it as often as you like. Nothing happens until you press the final button.

If the requirements are not met, the panel answers with a red line across the screen: “You need to meet all requirements before you can rebirth!”. That message disappears after a moment and nothing changes on your cash or base.

Add to Google Preferences →First rebirth requirements: $500K and two Rare brainrots
The cash target for the first rebirth is $500K. The two required brainrots are cheap compared to that. Both are Rare and both appear on the belt with their prices shown on floating tags.
| Brainrot | Rarity | Income | Belt price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trippi Troppi | Rare | $15/s | $2K |
| Gangster Footera (Rainbow) | Rare | $300/s | $4K |
Trippi Troppi’s purchase prompt reads “Trippi Troppi $2K”. The Gangster Footera in the table carries a “Rainbow” label above its name. That variant explains its higher income, and its $4K price applies to that Rainbow copy.

The rebirth panel’s slot only reads “Gangster Footera”. It does not name a variant, so don’t assume a Rainbow copy is the only one that counts.

What the first rebirth unlocks
The “You Will Unlock:” row holds six tiles. Their labels, read left to right, are copied below exactly as the game prints them.
| Tile | Type |
|---|---|
| MULTI x0.5 | Multiplier |
| LOCK BASE +10 Sec | Base lock time |
| Friend Controller: Unlock | Unlock |
| IRON SLAP | Tool (grey hand icon) |
| GRAVITY COIL | Tool (blue coil icon) |
| BEE LAUNCHER | Tool (yellow bee icon) |
The multiplier tile reads “MULTI x0.5”, and the lock tile adds ten seconds to your base lock. The Friend Controller tile says only “Friend Controller: Unlock” and gives no more detail about what it does.
The tools tie into the cash tool stall. Before your first rebirth, Iron Slap and Gravity Coil show there with the lock line “YOU NEED 1 REBIRTHS”. They sit right below the Trap, which costs $1K. Further down, Gold Slap, Coil Combo and Rage Table read “YOU NEED 2 REBIRTHS”. Until you rebirth, the cash tools you can buy include the Trap at $1K, the Slap at $500 and the Speed Coil at $750.

What you lose when you rebirth in Steal a Brainrot
The game prints its warning across the top of the panel:
“[WARNING] You will lose all cash and required Brainrots when you Rebirth”
The warning says the $500K you saved does not carry over. Trippi Troppi and Gangster Footera leave your base along with the cash. Plan for that before you press the gold button. If you are holding extra copies of those two brainrots for their income, count on rebuilding your earnings from a lower starting point, helped along by the x0.5 multiplier the rebirth grants.
To build the first $500K, the belt-to-base loop is the whole job: buy the strongest brainrot you can afford, collect the yellow amounts on your base slots, and repeat. Our guide to the Steal a Brainrot money loop covers the belt tags, the Collect pads and the cash tool prices in detail.
