Steal an Egg: How to Feed the Hungry Monster (Roblox)

The Hungry Monster sits near the starting area of Steal an Egg, right beside the Fuse Machine, and it only accepts one thing: eggs with a purple parasite stuck to the top. Feed it five of them and it coughs up a Monster Chest, which is the only way to roll for a Monstrous Egg with a guaranteed Monstrous Mutation.

Quick answer: Steal an infested egg (one with a purple parasite on it) from the Snow zone or higher, carry it back to the Hungry Monster next to the Fuse Machine, and hold E on the “Feed Parasite” option. Each feed adds 20 percent to the belly bar, so five deliveries fill it to 100 percent and produce the Monster Chest.

What the Monster Chest drops

Before you commit to the grind, it helps to know what the chest actually rolls. The Monster Chest Rewards menu is visible from the monster itself through the “View Rewards” prompt, and it lists five possible outcomes with fixed odds.

The Monstrous Egg is the prize everyone is chasing, and at 1.5 percent it is a long-odds roll. The three speed and growth buffs make up 93.5 percent of outcomes, so treat those as the realistic return on a completed bar and the Monstrous Egg as the occasional payoff.

Where infested eggs spawn

Infested eggs are ordinary nest eggs with a purple parasite attached to the top, and that parasite is what the monster eats. They start appearing in the Snow zone and continue spawning in every zone above it, which means Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, and Cosmic are all valid hunting grounds. Nothing below Snow will produce them.

That puts a hard gate on the whole activity. Snow requires 170K speed to enter, so if the treadmill has not gotten you there yet, the Hungry Monster is not something you can feed. Grind speed first, then come back.

Note: not every egg in a Snow nest will have a parasite on it. Scan the nest and pick the one with the purple growth before you press steal, because a clean egg cannot be fed no matter how far you carry it.

Feeding the Hungry Monster

Travel to the Snow zone or higher and find a nest containing an egg with a purple parasite on its shell. Position yourself for the exit before you touch anything, since the return trip is where runs are lost.

Steal the infested egg. The moment it is in your hands you become a target for both the zone’s guard and every other player on the server, so stop thinking about loot and start thinking about the route home.

Run back toward the starting area using a zigzag path rather than a straight line. Constant direction changes make you far harder to intercept while you are carrying, and the egg is worth nothing until it reaches the monster.

Walk up to the Hungry Monster beside the Fuse Machine while still holding the egg. The interaction menu changes when you are carrying an infested egg, adding a “Feed Parasite” option alongside the usual reward view.

Hold E on “Feed Parasite” until the action completes. The belly bar above the monster jumps by 20 percent, which is your confirmation that the feed registered.

Repeat the run four more times. At 100 percent the monster burps out the Monster Chest, and you claim it on the spot to roll one of the five rewards.

Why the Feed Parasite option is not showing

The prompt is conditional, so if you only see the rewards view, one of a few things is true. You are not currently holding an egg, the egg you are holding has no parasite on it, or you took it from a zone below Snow where infested eggs do not generate. Dropping or placing the egg on your farm also ends the interaction, since the monster needs the egg in hand rather than hatched.

Getting caught by a zone guard on the way back sends you to the starting point and costs you the egg entirely. That does not reduce the belly bar you have already filled, but it does mean the run produced nothing.

Making the farming loop faster

Five feeds per chest means the whole activity is a repetition problem, and the variable you control is how quickly you cover the distance between the nest and the monster. More treadmill speed shortens every leg of the run and makes guards easier to outpace, which is why the 1.25X Speed and 2X Treadmill Speed rewards feed back into the loop rather than being consolation prizes.

Covering ground between zones quickly is what keeps the five-feed loop moving.

Once you clear a zone comfortably, push up to the next one. Infested eggs keep spawning above Snow, so higher zones give you the same parasite deliveries while the eggs themselves hatch into better pets, meaning a single run serves both the monster and your farm income.

The monster resets to an empty belly after each chest, so the cycle is open-ended. If you are chasing the Monstrous Egg specifically, plan on many completed bars rather than a lucky first one, and treat the buffs you pick up along the way as the thing that makes the next five runs quicker.
