Steal An Egg: How to Get the Drill Monster Egg in the Monster Obby

The Admin Abuse Obby Race Event hands the limited Drill Monster Egg to the top three players on the wins leaderboard.

The Admin Abuse Obby Race Event hands the limited Drill Monster Egg to the top three players on the wins leaderboard.

The Drill Monster Egg is a limited reward in Steal An Egg, handed out during the Admin Abuse Obby Race Event. It is not a spawn you can chase down on the track and it is not sold in a shop. The only way to hold one is to place in the top three of a timed race through the Monster Obby.

Quick answer: Run the Monster Obby repeatedly during the Admin Abuse Obby Race Event, collect the win trophies at each stage, and finish the timer inside the top three on the wins leaderboard. Then claim the egg at the pedestal.

Admin Abuse Obby Race Event rules and the Drill Egg reward

The event board spells the format out in four lines. You race the obby, you earn wins as you pass stages, you repeat as many times as the timer allows, and the top players win prizes. The prize line is specific: top 3 get a Limited Drill Egg.

Scores climb fast because the trophies scale. A finished run in one race produced 1.9 million wins for first place, 1.1 million for second, and 178.5K for third. That gap between second and third shows how much a single extra completed lap is worth near the end of the timer.

Before the countdown hits zero, the lobby still gives you access to the Shop and Index buttons, so any speed purchases should be made there rather than mid-race.

Monster Obby course layout and where the win trophies are

The course is short but front-loads its cheap points and back-loads the valuable ones. Early green platforms drop +10 win trophies, which are effectively filler. The real score sits deep in the run, so a lap that ends at the lava is worth almost nothing.

Course sectionWhat it contains
Green platforms+10 win trophies, low risk
First red corridorTransition into the hazard half
Lava sectionMoving platforms plus a rolling boulder
Blue fire barrierTimed gate you must wait out
Second red corridor+74.4K win trophy
Spiral staircaseFinal trophy and course completion

Platform labels warn you before they punish you. Tiles marked DANGER!, SINKS!, and FALLS! behave exactly as written. A Slow Mode toggle is available on screen and is the practical option for the moving platform stretch, where raw speed usually launches you straight into the lava.

How to farm wins during the race

Enter the Monster Obby lobby before the countdown expires. Set your speed multiplier here; runs have been cleared at a 2T speed value with a x4K multiplier applied.
Sprint the green platform stage and take the +10 trophies on the way through. Nothing here can kill you, so this is the section to cross at full speed.
Slow down at the lava. Cross the moving platforms one at a time and let the rolling boulder pass before you commit to the next gap.
Stop at the blue fire barrier and wait for it to clear. Pushing through it ends the run and forces you back to the start.

Past the boulder, the run pauses at the blue fire barrier before the next corridor.
Take the second red corridor and grab the +74.4K win trophy. This single pickup outweighs every green platform trophy combined.
Climb the spiral staircase ringed by lava and collect the final trophy to complete the lap. Then immediately restart and run it again until the event timer expires.

Tip: back-to-back completions late in the timer are what decide placement. Two clean laps in a row can move you several hundred thousand wins up the board.

Why obby runs fail

Nearly every failed attempt ends in the same three places. Deaths are cheap in the sense that you can restart instantly, but each one wipes the progress of that lap and the score attached to it.

  • Falling into the lava while crossing the moving platforms.
  • Getting hit by the rolling boulder mid-jump.
  • Dying in the red corridor before the high-value trophy.

After a death you are returned to the start of the course with the lobby interface intact, so you can requeue without leaving the event.

Claiming the Drill Monster Egg and what it triggers

When the timer runs out, the final leaderboard appears with the top three placements and their win totals. If your name is on it, walk to the pedestal and claim the reward there.

You know it worked when the message You got a Drill Monster Egg! appears. The claim also fires a server-wide sequence: an ALL EGG RESET! notification, followed by A Secret Yeti Egg spawned in Snow ☃️ !. Every player in the server sees both, so expect a rush toward the Snow biome the moment you claim.

The egg itself is unmistakable once equipped. It is an oversized black mechanical shell split by glowing yellow cracks, with several drills mounted on the surface, and it displays at full size in the main lobby.

Because the Drill Monster Egg is limited to top-three finishers in a timed event, it cannot be earned outside an active Admin Abuse Obby Race Event. No official date for the next running of the event has been confirmed, so the practical approach is to be in a server when the countdown starts and treat the first few laps as practice for the lava section.
