The latest update to Steal an Egg, Update 9, introduces the Halloween event that brings new gameplay mechanics, new pets, and even a new dimension. Among the new items introduced in this update is the Haunted Fishing Rod, which you can obtain by completing a secret quest. Here’s how you can do so.
Reach the Halloween Dimension
The first thing you need to do is reach the Halloween Dimension, where the quest is set.
Train your character so you have at least 2.5 million speed. Use the treadmills in the main game area to do so.
Once you have the required speed, look for the Halloween Dimension portal near the spawn area next to the Trails Shop.
Completing The Secret Quest
Look for Gilbert’s Hut, where the Ghost Fisherman will appear. Go to him and press E to interact. He will tell you about his missing dog, Echo.
Return to where you spawned first and head left to the three pet houses. This is where you will find the missing pup.
Interact with the pup by pressing E. It will ask you to find four items that are scattered across different biomes in the game. These include an old photograph, a chewed bone, an old collar, and a teddy.
Follow the pup back to the Ghost Fisherman and interact with him to complete the quest and get the Haunted Rod as your reward.
