The Parasite Egg is the rarest thing you can pull out of the Monsters Are Coming update in Steal An Egg, and there is no shop button for it. It is a chest drop, sitting behind a feeding loop that runs through a single NPC. Everything else in the update is just the plumbing that gets you there.
Quick answer: Bring parasite-infected eggs back to your base, feed five parasites to The Hungry Monster to fill its bar and earn one Monster Chest, then open the chest and hope for the 1.5% Parasite Egg roll.
Where parasite-infected eggs spawn
Parasites latch onto eggs out in the world, and they do not show up in the early biomes. Infected eggs start appearing from the Ice/Snow map onward, so if you are still working the starting areas, you will not see a single one. Push your progression far enough to unlock the colder maps first, then keep an eye on every egg you pass.
An infected egg is carried the same way as any other. The parasite only comes off once the egg is inside your base, which means a failed run costs you both the egg and the parasite attached to it.
How to feed The Hungry Monster and earn a Monster Chest
E to feed it. Each parasite fills the bar above it by 20%.
How you know it worked: the progress bar on The Hungry Monster jumps by a fifth with every feed, and the chest reward spins on screen the moment the bar completes. If the bar does not move, you are either holding E on the wrong NPC or you never detached the parasite at your base.
Monster Chest drop rates
The Parasite Egg is the rarest line on the table by a wide margin. Everything else is a short buff or a bat skin, so expect to burn through a lot of parasites before one drops.

At those odds, five parasites per chest works out to roughly 330 parasites for an average Parasite Egg. That number is the whole grind, and it is why the buffs matter more than they look.
Chest buffs do not stack
Pulling the same buff twice does not double anything. A second 1.25x Speed roll simply resets the five-minute timer on the one you already have. The same applies to Egg Growth and Treadmill Speed.
The practical use for a speed buff is hauling. Big eggs from the Titan Temple are slow to carry, and a fresh 1.25x Speed window is the difference between a clean run and losing the egg on the way back. Open chests when you are about to make a trip, not while you are standing idle in your base.
What the Parasite Egg hatches
Opening a Parasite Egg rolls a pet carrying the limited-time Parasite mutation, applied to the Titan Temple lineup. Confirmed hatches include the Secret Parasite TRex and the Legendary Parasite Spideron, and the mutation shows up on the pet’s entry in the Pet Index alongside your other rarities like Gorilla King Eternal, Oni Tiger Eternal, Mutant Shark Secret and Stag Secret.
There is one more wrinkle worth knowing before you commit to the grind. The Titan Temple biome, where these pets come from, sits at the end of the map behind a 7 billion Speed requirement guarded by the Gorilla King. If you are nowhere near that number, treadmill time is a better investment than chest rolls right now.
The Hungry Frog Event that powers all of this is limited-time, and no end date has been confirmed. That makes the Parasite mutation a closing window rather than a permanent grind, so if you want a Parasite Egg, the parasites you skip today are the ones you will not get back.
