Mutations are the fastest way to push a pet’s money per second past what its base rate and size alone would give you, and the one mutation you can deliberately apply yourself is Fractured. It does not appear on wild egg rolls and it cannot show up when you hatch normally. You have to earn it by beating the boss, spending tokens, and using a consumable on an egg before it hatches.
Quick answer: Clear the boss portal for Boss Tokens, buy a Mutation Consumable from the Boss Shop, place an unhatched egg on the mutation spot, and use the consumable on it for a 10% Fractured roll.
What you need before mutating an egg
The whole loop runs on three things, and missing any one of them stops you cold.
- Boss Tokens — the currency dropped by the boss inside the portal.
- A Mutation Consumable — bought from the Boss Shop, listed at 400 Boss Tokens.
- An unhatched egg — the mutation is applied to the egg, never to a pet you already hatched.
If you are planning to mutate several eggs, bank tokens over multiple boss clears first. Consumables are single-use, and the portal is on a timer, so running out mid-session means waiting.

Add to Google Preferences →Boss portal spawn timing
The special boss portal appears on a fixed cycle, spawning every 30 minutes. While you wait, you can keep running your usual route through the zones — Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean and Cosmic — and stealing eggs as normal. When the portal shows up, drop what you are doing and go in, because token income is gated entirely behind that window.

How to beat the boss and earn Boss Tokens

Buying Mutation Consumables from the Boss Shop
Head back to the main base with your tokens and open the Boss Shop. The Mutation Consumable is the item you want, and it is the only route to Fractured. Buy as many as your token balance allows before you start mutating, because each one is consumed on a single egg regardless of whether the mutation lands.

How to apply the Mutation Consumable to an egg

At a 10% success rate, most consumables will not produce a Fractured egg. Budget for roughly ten attempts per hit rather than expecting the first one to land.
Confirming the mutation worked
A successful roll shows up on the egg itself before you hatch it, the same way Golden and Rainbow eggs are visible by their shell appearance. After hatching, the pet card is the final word — Fractured will be listed as the pet’s mutation, and its money per second will read higher than the base rate shown in the Pet Index for that species. If the card shows no mutation, the roll failed and the consumable is spent.
What Fractured is worth compared to other mutations
Fractured applies a x2.75 income multiplier, placing it behind only Rainbow and Parasite. Here is how the ladder looks:
| Mutation | Multiplier | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Rainbow | x3.5 | Hatch roll, 1 in 100 |
| Parasite | x3 | Parasite Egg, feeding event |
| Fractured | x2.75 | Mutation Consumable |
| Golden | x2.5 | Hatch roll, 4 in 100 |
| Spirit Bloom | x2.5 | Sakura Incubator |
| Bloom | x1.25 | Sakura event |
| Silver | x1.2 | Hatch roll, 6 in 100 |
Multiplier values are community-measured rather than published by the developer, so the exact percentage gain on your specific pet can drift a few points. The ordering holds regardless.
Colour mutations and size are separate traits, and final income multiplies base income by both. A plain $100/s pet with a Golden roll and a Giant size lands at $750/s; a Rainbow Huge reaches $1,750/s. Pet weight has its own curve — under 125x the hidden base weight the gain scales steadily, and above that threshold diminishing returns kick in, so a 100x egg lands around 17x base value while a 1,000x egg reaches roughly 45x.
That maths is why consumables belong on your heaviest and highest-earning eggs. Spending 400 tokens on a x2.75 roll for a low-income pet returns almost nothing, while the same roll on a large egg from a strong species multiplies an already big number. Hold your consumables until a genuinely good egg comes out of a nest, and let the 30-minute portal cycle rebuild your stock in the meantime.
