Storage Hunters Police Raid Update Explained (Roblox v0.2.0)

How police auctions, wanted levels, jail escapes, and the Town Bank heist work in Storage Hunters: Open World.

How police auctions, wanted levels, jail escapes, and the Town Bank heist work in Storage Hunters: Open World.

The Police Raid update turned Storage Hunters: Open World into a game where your loot can get you arrested. Version 0.2.0 adds police-themed auctions across the map, a wanted system with car and helicopter chases, a working jail with three ways out, and a bank vault you can blow open with C4. Most of it runs off one new idea: some items you win are stolen goods, and the cops want them back.

Quick answer: Win a police auction, load an item carrying a [Redacted] or [Seized] mutator into your vehicle, and you get a 1 to 3 star wanted level. Outrun the chase in a ground vehicle only — helicopters and UFOs will not shake it. If you are caught, leave jail by waiting 60 seconds, paying 1 gem, or finishing Mike’s quest to unlock a permanent escape tunnel.

Where police auctions spawn and what they drop

Police auctions are universal. They are not locked to one new zone, so they rotate through the standard auction locations you already use, including Back Alley, the Junkyard, and Lucky Beach. Business Bay and Lucky Beach hold the highest item tiers, so those two are worth prioritising if you can afford the bids.

The items inside can carry two new mutators, and the gap between them is enormous.

MutatorValue multiplierNotes
[Redacted]1.25xCommon roll on police auction items
[Seized]15xRare roll; the payoff item of the update

The update also adds a Police category under the Exclusive tab of the Collection Book, holding 16 new collectibles. These only appear through police auctions, so completing the set means repeatedly bidding on the seized garages rather than farming a single area.

Wanted levels and how police chases work

Nothing happens while the loot sits in the garage. The wanted level triggers when you collect high-value items carrying police mutators, and it scales from one star up to three. Police cars spawn first, and helicopters join at higher levels.

The important restriction: your own aerial vehicles do not help. Neither a personal helicopter nor a UFO will break the pursuit, so every escape has to be driven on the ground. Plan the route back to your shop before you load anything valuable, because the chase starts the moment the item goes in.

Note: getting caught is not purely a punishment. You need at least one arrest to start Mike’s questline, so a deliberate capture early on is the fastest way to unlock the permanent escape route.

Three ways out of jail

An arrest drops you into a cell inside the new Police Station. Three exits exist, and only one of them is permanent.

Mike’s jailbreak quest: home carpet and spoon locations

Get arrested. Mike is an NPC inside the jail cell, so there is no way to start the quest from the outside. Pick up a police-mutator item and let the chase end badly.
Speak to Mike in the cell to accept the jailbreak quest. He asks for two items, and both come from auctions rather than shops.
Find 1 home carpet in the Back Alley. It only spawns while the quest is active, and it is a low-tier item, so dropping your luck setting to somewhere between 0 and 50 percent makes it appear more often.

Collect spoons from the Junkyard. One is the quest requirement, but spoons break frequently during the dig, so bring five to ten before you head back.
Return to the cell and complete the escape. Once the tunnel is dug, it stays open, and every future arrest can be cleared through it instead of waiting or spending gems.

Town Bank heist: using 4 C4 charges on the vault

Win 4 C4 charges from police auctions. They are the only way in, and the vault will not open with fewer than four.
Head to the Town Bank and walk through the door marked STAFF ONLY. The vault sits behind it.
Place all four charges on the vault door and detonate. The door blows open and exposes the cash and gems inside.
Grab the money and drive. The heist immediately sets your wanted level to maximum, so treat the getaway as the hard part rather than the vault itself.

Building Inspector quest to unlock Business Bay plots

Find the Building Inspector NPC at the entrance to Business Bay and take the “Finish the Business Bay Plots” quest.
Track down 1 Bulldozer in the Farmyard. It comes out of Farmyard auctions, so this part is a bidding grind rather than a search.
Track down 1 Construction Crane in Business Bay itself. Both objectives show as 0/1 counters until you deliver them.
Hand both in. The quest completes and the housing plots in the Business Bay area become claimable.

Tim’s warehouse orders and the Collector

Two NPCs now buy specific items on request. Tim runs Warehouse Orders, which are repeatable and ask for a named item such as “Bring 1x Polo Stick” in exchange for a reward. The Collector stands at your own shop and works the same way, requesting particular items rather than generic value.

Because both refresh with new requests, it is worth holding onto odd low-value items instead of selling everything on sight. A junk item you would normally dump can be the exact one an order asks for.

New limited-time police vehicles and prices

The Auto Dealer stocks two vehicles tied to the update. Both are limited, meaning they will not stay in the dealership permanently.

Police Car$250,000$75,000
Armored Police Van$320,000$96,000

The Premium Certificate building is not active yet

A building labelled PREMIUM CERTIFICATE has appeared on the map, but it does nothing right now. The NPC inside tells you to come back for the certificate update. No official date for that follow-up has been confirmed, so there is nothing to farm or prepare for it at the moment.

The Police Raid event window runs until Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 7:00 PM UTC, which is the deadline that matters for the seized garages and the limited vehicles. If you want a notification the next time servers update, the Notify Me button on the Storage Hunters: Open World experience page handles it. Until then, the fastest route through v0.2.0 is a deliberate arrest, Mike’s tunnel, and then hunting [Seized] rolls with a fast ground vehicle already parked outside.
